Will you please post this question in our FB community ~ many people have moved from HCP and will give you instructions on how they did it… I will keep watch on the post and make sure your question gets answered! I just think they’ll be able to explain it better and want to save you the time
Markate is so awesome. About a billion times better customer service then hcp.
Just signed up for the free trial. Here goes…
@anon56568109 I didn’t see an option for small engine repair or Christmas Light installation. Did I miss it?
I have a seperate DBA, logo, etc for the Christmas light company, but same parent company LLC. How would I make that work in Markate?
It literally has the ability of Send Jim , Broadly , and House call pro in one.
Except I already paid the $800 for SendJim. Lol. I think I can sell that membership though.
That’s one reason I stay with HCP. I was one of their first users and I pay $19 a month. Sometimes I forget how much others users are paying and it skews my perception of HCP complaints.
Unless you are wanting to use Markate’s website feature, do not worry about setting those features up. Those features have been designed for people who don’t have their own website and would like to post about their business using Markate’s platform. If you do want to use the Markate’s website then you can just list them in the section “about my business” ~ The start up tutorial gives a pretty thorough overview of both the app and the website ~ I’m actually trying to make time to re-do them because we’ve added so many new features, which I will just have to keep doing haha! but that still might help. If you ever want to discuss anything please feel free to write on here or call me 480.360.1360. Here’s my cell phone also if you’d prefer to send me a quick text… 480.284.9139 Thank you so much! Have a great day!
I’ve run out of time on my 14 day trial, and I am still not ready to take the leap. I’m so heavily invested in researching beating the Big C that I really haven’t had time to spend with Markate that I should. I hope that Julia won’t mind that I use the numbers she left for @squidskc MONDAY, because I’ll spend some time Sunday and Monday working the program over.
I really LOVE HCP, and will need a little more familiarity with Markate before I can make the switch.
I’ve been in it briefly and I’m 90% ready to switch. I’m canceling broadly and SendJim and moving from HCP if my set up call with Markste answers my questions satisfactorily.
And if there’s anyway we can work out a price lock for a set number of years or a cap on the increase, that’d make me more comfortable too.
id like to have a locked in price also.
I’ll bring it up with Julia when we chat, but hopefully they see that’s a scary thing for a lot of folks. But also one of the things I’m betting is helping people jump ship from HCP is the cost.
The fastest way to burn a bridge is to increase prices on all those folks leaving HCP because the cost is so high.
I’ve never gotten a warm and fuzzy from Customer Factor, but some folks love it. To each their own. I think Markate is different. And I’m not saying that just because they’re here.
Because I have been super loyal to Housecall Pro, including arguing on their behalf, but I think Markate is going to be the dominant software for service companies if they keep up what they’re doing.
Especially, since what I’ve seen so far they are absolutely the value leader.
I’m locked to HCP my price is crazy low or else I’d kick the tires. Markate has a ways to go to catch up HCP has like 40,000 subscribers they are awesome marketers
When you switch to the paid side there’s a lot more you can do. I spent hours creating custom email and SMS messages this morning for different task . Estimate, appoitment scheduled, appt reminders, invoicing etc.
Markate seems more automated and customizable then HCP
Which is what I want. HCP you have to pay extra through zapier to even get it to do what you want to do sometimes.
After looking at Markate, if feels kind a like I’ve been duped by Housecall Pro. Frankly, I’m not happy about it either.
Value and very responsive. If they continue to listen to their customers it’s enevitable to end up with the software that customers want and need. We are using it every day. Who better to listen to?
How were you duped by HCP?
Half the value for double the price. Quadruple the price actually
