Advice on storefront

I wanted to check in with you guys on this first, got a legitimate call to do a T-Mobile here in town. He wants the vertical surfaces done, from what you see is there anything special I need to watch out for? I’ll be using the 12v on it.

I should probably go out there and verify the spigot works. I’m also embarrassed to say I have no idea how to price this compared to my usual houses.

Couple questions. If you’re using a 12v you’re planning on a decently strong mix. So, for one, how do have a definitive line where you stop on that building without getting any overspray onto the adjoining business. Also, are you going to clean the sidewalks too, because you’ll leave clean spots where your mix runs down.

I’ll shoot from the right side, keeping as much off that dental place as I can.

Another concern is they have a newer sign, that pic is about 7 years old. It’s set off from the building a few inches. Here’s a more updated pic.

Here’s a pic I took today, looks like no mold or algae but a lot of spider webs on pretty much everything. I think I can get away with just a housewash mix.


I’d cold call on the dental office and say that you’re bidding the T Mobile and would they like a bid. Or wait until you get the bid and tell them you’re doing the T Mobile.

My .02, don’t underestimate cleaning the area on the other side of the concrete if you are doing it. Just did a shopping center last weekend. The amount of crap that came off the walls and in the nooks and crannies went down the sidewalk and on the asphalt. Then I cleaned the concrete and it was even messier on the asphalt. I can’t walk away from that mess with my name attached to it. Shovel and hosing and a trash bag, the amount of cigarette butts is horrifying. Not to mention you are going to likely clean out those asphalt divots by the parking stops unless you will just let the soap and dirty water lay there for people to complain about.

Oh yeah, even with socks some water got under the doors. I timed my clean so the openers would be inside when done. I knocked and they opened so I could squeegee it out and wipe it down. Happy workers.

Seems to be a massive glitch now, I walked around the whole building and didn’t see a spigot. I mentioned to the property management guy there might be a place in their bathroom I could get water but haven’t heard back.

See if you can get access to the “landlord room” in the back… I’d imagine there is some plumbing/sink basin in there.

Reason you should always use your blower first. Chasing wet debris a pita. Will cut down your asphalt rinsing time by 60%.

LOL, welcome to commercial cleaning. It’s absolutely amazing they build these, often huge, buildings with no external spigots, or if they have, they don’t work.

On your original question, figure 60 min plus whatever concrete they want done, on site. But commercial not residential, so charge accordingly. I’d probably be $350.

That’s about what I figured, about an hour of work before the windows. I’ll just wait to hear back now.

I don’t leave home without my stihl backpack blower. I did do that first, and swept into piles with broom and then bagged. Still lots of junk.

no way Id do 350.

It would literally take me 45min tops and that’s counting taping the door seams.
