8 GPM is where it at

I must say if anyone is on the fence about which pressure washer to go with llI throw my 2 cents in because Im glad I got the 8gpm set up. Cleaning with 8gpm is night and day from 4 or even 5.5 gpm. House washes are ridiculously fast now… Now I just got to keep it busy so I can justify having to pay so much for it

Yea im loving it so far. Have you had any issues with it? What hot box do you have and what would I need one for other than commercial concrete?

You always can use heat. Getting up oil stains, popping gum, degreasing, etc. Get with Bob or Russ and they will put you in with a hot box that matches up to it. Make sure you have the right amount of rise (temperature) for the 8gpm

What chemical injector are you using to draw chems with you 8gpm unit for house washing? I am worried I want draw enough chemicals. We are using Alison super suds suckers for your 4gpm units.

Hey Alex-- what % of mix do you suppose your draw from that mix is with your 8gpm PW?

Why not a 5-8 Alex?

I also have the 3-5 injector on my 8gpm machine… It got to do with the amount of hose you are drawing through… I draw through a min of 200

for you 8gpm guys, what would you say the minimum buffer tank size would be? let’s assume you always have access to city water with good steady pressure.

Most days we could get by with 100 and we do a fair amount on wells.

thanks tim,
ok here’s another question. i’m trying to figure out a trailer situation. don’t really have the funds for an enclosed dual axle.

do you think a 6’x10’ single axle could fit and handle this setup?:

8gpm skid
100 gal tank
2 pressure hose reels, 200ft each
2 feed hose reel, 125 feet 3/4" hose each

4gpm gear drive machine

50 gallon roof tank
roof wash hose reel with 200ft 1/2" hose
roof pump/battery

surface washer
misc tools etc.

Yes, I do. Is it ideal? No. Do we live in a perfect world? No, not even close.

We wore out a 7x12 single axle atv trailer with a tote tank (not pulled full), several 4 gpm gear drives and two of everything imaginable. We always pulled with a 2500 or 3500 series truck so there was a bit of brake margin there.

I would not recommend that you pay retail for a 6x10 trailer but if you have one, or have access to one, use it to get started with.

ok cool. i’m waffling over this 5.5 vs. 8 thing. i know a smaller trailer can handle the 5.5 and a 40 gal buffer tank and all of the above would fit great, but i keep thinking “why not just spend the extra couple hundred and go with the 8gpm?”

the single axle would be temporary, maybe just to get through this season. i’ll have my sites set on a dual axle eventually.

thanks again tim, as always u r a wealth of information
