8.5 Hydromax Build

Meter added to my cart! Running in parallel for consistent power. I’ll have 3 reels, schertz box, 12v pump, and light strips all being powered by those batteries. Just want more juice. They will be wired to a charger.

I’m going to use that steel waterproof box for all my electrical. I don’t feel comfortable putting a 12v pump next to all of that. I’ve seen lots of guys just mount their pump in the open and waterproof their connections. Still debating on doing that or getting a 2nd box. What do you think ?

I have all mine in the same box, we use a large full size truck toolbox to store chems, tarps/gutter bags and 12v battery and pump, never had any problems and I like everything being in one spot. Toolbox also give you a great work surface for doing any repairs

All my Chems are in this one long box too. I realize that not all of it fits ! Lol.

I hope those tanks aren’t in their permanent resting spot :joy:

Haha no, just moved out the way until the 200 gallon gets here

Run the soft line out mount the bypass under the reel on the side of the trailer. Your going to break your coil eventually with all that hanging off

I’ll see what I can come up with and report back :+1:

If you mount it under the reel on the side of trailer you will not have to reach over all that stuff to switch it over. Just cut a flat piece of steal weld or bolt of you cant weld into the space below the reel. Take some u bolts and secure it. Easy

Here is an update on the trailer build! It’s about 80% done! Just need to plumb all the hoses to the tanks and clean up the wiring. Waiting on some additional lighting and a 7 gal soap tank to come in but it’s coming along !

Genuinely curious what the gatorade jug will be used for.

Beauty looking rig!

For Gatorade lol. Water to drink. Have to stay hydrated especially in 100 degree summers

@DJPWS damn, that was going to be my guess too! Then I figured it was something only the pros knew about and I would sound dumb haha gotta stay hydrated though!!

Coming along nicely, just wondering if you have your acids and soaps in the same box?
Those plastic bottles vibrate around as the trailer bumps down the road and eventually leak as they age- well around here they do anyway

Good point. As I build the trailer I’m seeing the space I have available. I have room for more storage and even a place for a 5.5 gpm backup unit. I’ll see about a divider I can put in and seal on the bottom or another locking storage bin. One for acids and one for the alkalines :+1:

Next time you wrap an exhaust, leave the wrap in warm water for an hour and wrap it real tight, get a lighter and flame the ends to stop fraying up, once it cools you won’t need the straps.

I’ll remember that! First time with wrap. This is pretty temporary. When I have time to get the rig into my welders shop, I’ll have him change out the tongue coupler, do a side mount flange for the jack to change tires, and weld a solid tube for the exhaust :+1: I’ll wraps the new tube with that method. I still have lots of the wrap left

Awesome progress. You’re gonna make some $$ with that rig. Nice job, watch that swivel inlet that it don’t leak on the solenoid, I usually put the swivel on the opposite side of the motor/solenoid to be safe. Works either way.

Pump plumbed

Nice, is that 1/2 or 5/8” Softwash hose?
