Its either the gun or the ball valve. that’s why everyone wanted to eliminate 1 thing at a time. I saw your gun rated for 10 gpm. We all run 12gpm guns, Suttner 2315. so you can either put your gun on without the ball valve and see if she draws chem or ball valve without the gun and see if she draws chem and eliminate one of those. Yeah it works with the ball valve fully open. But I can’t put on soap 2 story’s up like that so if you think that 2 extra Gpm on the gun will enable it to pull soap thru the gun than I’ll have to grab one.
I actually use the 00 nozzle to blast leftover junk off metal gutters, the low pressure shooter tip doesn’t have enough oomph to knock it off once the organics get killed off.

Im not saying that you need a $55 gun to buy just yet, Damn fine gun though. Try to pull chem now with ball valve and gun with no tip.
Btw did you try pulling chem with your gun and no ball valve?

Bought it anyways. And yes I tried that with no luck. And I have not tried to pull using the gun with no

The ds injector tube filter has to be free from the dip tube, the filter holes must not be recessed into the tube at all, and possibly, maybe its getting kinked in the bucket so you cant see it.

Update: not pulling soap anymore. With or without the ball valve or without the j rod. I think it’s time to buy an x jet.
Trust me, you don’t want to yank around an xjet for house washing. It’s best for putting stronger mixes in one location.
Curious, does your pump say HP 5535? I don’t think it’s the right one for your GX 390. I have that one on my GX 630.

Lots of people put 5.5 pumps on gx390s. You won’t get full psi.

You don’t want to mess with dragging a bucket of house wash mix all the time when washing housing. Plenty of guys have almost the exact setup as yours and able to pull chem just fine. Something just isn’t right with your injector or setup.
One thing you didn’t say is what size Hi Draw injector you’re using. Did you buy the 2-3 gpm or the 3-5 gpm?

Yes it does say 5535.

I’ve taken the injector hose off to see if it sucks and either it does for a split second and than stops and doesn’t come back on if I put a pick in there to loosen the ball up or it just doesn’t suction at all.
I would try a 2-3 gpm or 1.8 Hi Draw injector. If everything else in your setup is good to go there’s a good chance that will fix your issue.

I do have an issue with pulsing/surging ? When I have the ball valve closed or the gun the pump pulses and pulls on the whip line to the reel. Even tho the unloader is bypassed.I have a video but can’t upload it.
