Using a direct drive pump with a buffer tank

I’m thinking about getting the ‘Evolution 2 21/200’ pressure washer. It’s 5.5gpm with 200 bar (2900psi). It has a reduction gearbox which I believe falls under the category of ‘direct drive’. After reading a few posts, it seems that there is a difference of opinion between direct-drive and belt-driven pressure washers. Can I still use this pressure washer and hook it up to a buffer tank? Or would you go for a belt-driven pressure washer? I’m very new to this so any advice would be greatly ap…
