@Hotshot I read he’d out to Miguel and am picking up one of his 2 step guns today! They look well built. Do you have one of his?

@Hotshot

Some More info on this used PW I found.

It actually has 2400 hours on it, comes with a 100’ 2 wire hose and 2 Sutton triggers with variable pressure lances. It seems to run just fine, but when the burner is on, when you let off the trigger and then re squeeze it, a large puff of white smoke kicks out of the vent. Should I be concerned? Or is this par for the course with these diesel burner units?

He agreed to sell it for $2500 if I want it.

Landa PGD5-3500E

@AxisMobileRepair $800 including shipping. Gun, 100’ Suttner hose, 1/4" chem lines, meg nozzles. 4 -1/4" ball valves (one on each end of chem line). Never had chem through it.

I wouldn’t be to concerned, long as its not smoking when its running and that is fixed by adjusting the air flow usually. How long has it been ran since you tested it ?

Yes I do, So does @SurfaceTherapy , make sure you have a trapped unloader or it won’t work.

Ok I’ll be running it off the pressure washer I mentioned above hopefully. How would I know if it’s the correct unloader? The unloader on it now is a brass one with an exposed coil spring and it recirculates the waster back into the buffer tanks when in bypass.

He’s basically incorporated that injector off the front of your gun and made the same concept in a box along with two hp pressure ball valves that inject into you hp line. So its DS but at high pressure.

@Hotshot
H e uses it daily , He does surface cleaning with it. he bought an 8gpm unit that is sitting in his garage waiting to go on his trailer as soon as he sells this unit. I ran it for about 20 minutes and it never skipped a beat other than that white smoke, and no smoke while the burner is on, only maybe 1 second of white smoke when I get back on the trigger.

The unloader will have a big spring on the top. The k7 flow actuated unloaders won’t work. look up a trapped unloader on pressuretek and a k7 , you’ll see the difference.

@Hotshot this is the unloader on it, so I believe I’m good there.

That’s pretty normal. It’s just the initial spurt of fuel not burning completely. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you for putting me at ease there. Is $2500 a fair price for that type of unit? I don’t know the usual service life of these things?

All the oil is fairly clean and it has filters dated 3 months ago, so I’m guessing he maintains it decently.

The vanguards usually last 3000 hrs plus. Its an 18hp correct? Bout 12,$1300 new

Imo Landas are a pretty good quality machine, good motor, pump,platform and a really good re sale value.

That’s good to hear, I just uploaded photos of the unit on here as well.

It’s in the ballpark. Depends on your region really. Buy it, set it up, go make money.

And don’t forget the other 162 steps in between all of that like insurance, marketing, LLC, etc.
