Ok I’ll go grab it in the morning. Thanks for the input. Would you recommend upgrading to the green spring unloader now and keeping this one as a spare? I don’t mind swapping some parts to improve functionality.

Yeah luckily I already have a diesel repair business with all that set up, I had to get an environmental release policy thanks to California, but that’s all good.

Thanks for your advice and info!

Fyi @AxisMobileRepair, Karcher owns Landa, hotsy and shark, just different colors all quality machines.

Also the spec plate says 4.7gpm but the pump says 6.0 GPm. Has it been replaced or is the unit under rated due to rpm of the engine or another factor I might not be considering?

Does this mean my local Hotsy dealer can get all the Landa parts I need for servicing it?

My Diesel is the same way, its the way they have it sheeved, do a bucket test along with psi. My hotsy had a pump that said 5.5 gpm that was being sold as a 4gpm brand new of the show room floor

I didn’t bucket test it, but the psi gauge stayed at around 3350 while I was running it after about 20 min of continuous use.

Yes , there identical machines unless the dealer has them tweaked to the customers specs, but the pump will say hotsy instead of landa.

No problem. I don’t know what you’re planning to do with this machine but if you’re going to be washing trucks I doubt that your diesel repair insurance would cover anything pressure washing related. You may be able to run under a DBA and just carry a separate policy for the washing but you’d have to figure out how that works in California. Good luck!

I can see alot of reclaim in California for sure. So @AxisMobileRepair will have to price accordingly, which will be higher than most states.

@DisplacedTexan our garage keepers and garage liability policies cover any damage done to any vehicle while they are in our possession. Even on customers sites. It’s written as an umbrella type policy from what my lawyers have said and is fairly air tight. If we damage anything on the truck, or even anything near the truck, or hurt someone doing it, we are covered up to 2 million per occurrence / 4 million aggregate per year. Less the 5k standard deductible. It runs me about 7k per month in insurance between worker’s compensation and all my other insurance policies. And the environmental policy added another 2200 per year. I hate this state. Lol but I’m stuck here so I’ll make the best of it :man_shrugging:t2:

I recommend any unloader that is rated for 12gpm or more, the green spring is pricey but lasts forever, And all your guns be 12gpm as well, you’ll get the 2305 of Miguel, decent gun ,when it craps out get a suttner 2315 from then on.

Luckily most of my customers have a wash pad they are allowing us to use and that has a 3 stage separator that is epa compliant and they pay to have it emptied!

But yes in some of my smaller fleets ill have to run it through an oil filtering sponge, then reclaim it and dispose of it as non haz waste water in the city’s sanitary sewer system.

Should I just have him upgrade to a 2315 now? He said he would do it for a small fee more

Thats a God sent ! Reclaim is a major pita.

I agree, and here in CA you cannot reclaim to vegetation. Has to be taken off site to the sewer district per Sacramento’s rules.

Yes. Its like $55 on pressuretek, it has the porcelain ball and SS spring. Id also get extra nozzles off him , like $3 a piece.

Will do! I’ll also swap that unloader out and keep the other as a spare.

Is there any place I can read up on servicing the burners on these units? I feel like there has to be a detailed manual on these that outlines proper care, cleaning, and inspections.

Very nice. Sounds like you’re good to go. What type of diesel repair do you do?
