24v softwash

I thought he said in the video that it would accept a quick connect?

So you use an old pressure washing gun vs the red gun most use on gas systems?

No, I use an ABS or some type of composite standard soft wash gun. Have the red one, but same problem, no flat spray.

We have been running the yellow water boss gunn. This is the 3rd season with them. I really like them. We have it set up on a 1/2 qc so we can chang the guns for roof cleaning. The freedom box is nice with the exception of the switches. Breakers are not switches and will weaken if used in the fashion he uses them.

Just curious, have you ever thought about doing something similar to what I have and use a J-rod setup on a standard garden hose sprayer? Like these, but minus the injector portion. That way you get the exact pattern you want. You know the output of your system so you can size your nozzles appropriately.

I used this yesterday for the first time and i am in love. Used with udor 40p and 1/2" hose at 100 psi

I literally hate jrods. The only one I ever use is just because it has my shooter tip on it.

Why do you hate jrods?? Thats like all i use lol. You use the m5 twist instead?

They’re a PITA, especially up on a ladder. All stainless, etc, they still stick and you’re limited to what’s in there as far as spray patterns. On my M5 i have full range of patterns and it’s extremely rare when I need anything else. I do have the 2 different sizes, so if I want a little more pressure I can use the smaller. As I said I keep my shooter tip in one so I won’t lose it and a couple of special pressure ones that I maybe use once/year. I can soap a whole side of a house in the time it takes most people to change there jrod a couple of times.

I understand back in the day before we had remote bypasses, etc, but now they’re just antiquated imho.

Awesome input as usual. I spotted a photo of a Jrod a while back that had an M5 on it along with 2 other nozzles. The M5 took up 2 spaces so one was blank. The only Jrod I’ve had issues with sticking is the coupler on the 12v soft wash gun which gets all the hot sauce & likes to corrode. I use a Foster coupler on the 2315 & can’t complain at all. Decks, curbs, gutters, cutting in driveways, I do everything with the same Jrod and it works great but I would love to add an M5 to the arsenal this year, mainly for siding. A 0040 shooter & a 0015 would probably round it out well.

Must say love using a m5. I like a tight stream but not a 0 when hitting high
Was washing with a friend on a commercial job and he was using my m5 and dropped it on the ground, kinda messed up the spray pattern so it mists a bit now

Probably just got some dirt wedged down in there somewhere, usually can get out.

How do you like the Dual Remcos?

How do you like the dual setup?

I trained my son to wash using a jrod. Then after a couple houses I said, “Now try this” and gave him the M5. Afterwards he was like, “Why were you holding out on me?” Lol.

So what is the verdict? I watched the video you posted that was pretty impressive. I wouldn’t mind adding that to my set up. I’d probably keep the AR still. Do you think the x6 would be a major upgrade? Did you ever get one of those?

No, didn’t go with the x6 yet, lol. It only puts out about 6gpm . It’s main advantage is the constant pressure. Been pretty happy with the dual Remco so far.
