2018 pressure washing $0 - $100,000?

Hey everyone I live in the UK this year I am going to get my pressure washing business off the ground. I have been thinking about how to market and the best marketing method I think will work is knocking on doors, as this way It is free marketing and I can do the job there and then. I want to knock on 200 doors a day. Hopefully get at least 5 jobs a day. Opinions?

Also I walked down the road today and 75% of drives needed power washing.

Good luck.

I would recommend starting a website. You can do it yourself for cheap. There us tons of info on the internet to get you started.

Thanks. Yeah I will create a website but I don’t think I will get as much work as knocking on doors

Knock doors man. That’s how I built my business. Websites are a passing fad but doors have and will be around for a long time.

Thanks for the encouragement! What rate did you usually see in door knocking ? Out of 100 doors for example?

Solicitation?

Your dating yourself… lol. Pretty soon we won’t talk to anybody in person only through phones, computers and intercoms.

I still write letters to my parents and family.

you drop knowledge all over the place and then you say things like websites are a passing fad… come on man. just because you dont understand or have a great website that brings you business doesnt mean you tell a new guy its a passing fad… websites are a huge part of service businesses like pressure washing

with that said door hangers are amazing too

Hopefully the internet will be gone in 5 years. That would be a great blessing to all. But seriously, websites should not be used as marketing.

shouldn’t be used to market? or advertise?

do you have a website?

I am not investing in web markteting either., I have been involved in ecommerce for 11 years and have given it up for a dba as a powerwasher. Amazon, Google, et al will make you disappear. You CANNOT compete with them. Hang it up, SEO is a losing game that only benefits the SEO companies. My business plan entails word of mouth, yard signs and first year friends, family and HOAs that I have been in contact with. Also, top notch personalized customer service creates repeat busniess and referrals, I have an existing business plan that worked for my other DBAs and made money the last 11 years.

yikes. k

if anyone reads this in the future. keep in mind that just because you see information on here… doesn’t mean its correct. please keep that in mind especially inside this post…

I have one that i got for trading a washer for it. I don’t accept emails from it and don’t use it though. There are much better ways to build a business than websites
Mine is Offdutyfiremanpresdurewashing.com

In the early 2000’s, yes, your own website drew some traffic and sales.
In my particular business venue, the big players sent the little guy out of business. If your ROI for your website pays out good for you, good for you. Money well spent. But it will not be my first order of marketing business, not this time for this business venture, just my IMHO. I dont think folks are actively searching for " house wash" or power washers. I will invest in the model of word of mouth and drive by siteings more than a website. I don;t think people know their house is dirty until they see someone else’s cleaned up!

I regret spending almost 3k to have my website built last year. The only benefit is that its wordpress and looks a little prettier.

If you live in a small town that has all of 3 power washers its easy to rank high. But SEO takes a lot of time or a lot of money. Also ads and map now take up half the page before you even get to organic so even with a high ranking site you will still be beat.

Im not saying dont have a website, but adwords with a landing page can make you more money if done right.

Guess it woyld help if i lnew the name of the website lol
