200,K square parking lot power washing need help

If it only has one water spigot at the ground level you’ll have no choice but to run hose up each floor. But with a $16,000 bid I think you can swing it.

Thank you Chris, I am working with the budget, I have to send it no later than tomorrow, in advance I thank each of you who took the time to advise me on this new project,
Regardless of what happens with the budget, I will be indebted to you guys for your wise advice!!!

You’ve got a lot to do if you have to have a bid tomorrow. Water situation, reclaim necessary and if so how are you going to do. 200k sq ft going to take you 100 hours with the equipment you have if everything goes good,. How does each floor drain? Are they going to close down a floor at a time for you or what or are you going to have to do it all at night? You’ve got a ton of unanswered questions and you’re talking about price. If you have to reclaim, water a problem, ventilation, permits, traffic control, all the other stuff you may need to be at $.25/ft. I love how everyone throwing out prices here and no one, including you I suspect, have a clue as to the scope of the job. The operator of the garage not going to be happy with you being in there for that long when there are companies that can do that much in a long day, so a lot will depend on where you are and the amount of competition.

Hi Mr racer, thank you so much for your observation, you right, a lot of things to control,
I’m Texas, and we have a lot of power wash companies here, and I don’t know how, but they have budgets of up to 0.03 for winning the job, and that puts me in a difficult situation, my company is in charge of cleaning the garage, and I have control of the movement of the cars, two month ago, the owners changed the management company and they want to have a minimum of 3 quotes, before deciding who to give the job, I understand that, I would do it too, but I want to be in a place where I do not look very cheap or very expensive

Like @Racer said there are specialty companies that are setup to do this kind of thing. I would just pass on it if I were you. Big companies with the experience and equipment are the only ones who can bid competitively on a job like this because they know the exact amount it will cost them. It’s too risky to take a gamble. Would be better off doing homes or little jobs with the weeks it would take to do this one. If you really want bid on it it would be better to bid high and lose it than bid low and lose your a**. Justify your higher cost by showing you intend to reclaim and show the hoops needed to provide water. Others maybe 3c because illegal labor doing it wrong and can cause liability issues for themselves and the company hiring them.

Ah, there it is. I kept waiting for this response to pop up. Absolute gold.

I just submitted a bid to the City of Columbia for 7 parking garages. 1,505,000 ft2 in total which includes walls and ceilings. 7pm to 6am and Sundays. I bid it at $.15/ft2 which equals $225,750 :stuck_out_tongue:

sorry the qs was for @TDCServices … Did you won the job?

Nope…not by a longshot :frowning:

Do you remember what the winning bid was for 1.5 mil sa/ft. 0.15 seems like a lot for commercial

I also would like to know

I have to bid on a 50k sq ft parking lot and 25k sq ft building. Im trying to figure out what a good price would be. I would like to get .15 per sq ft on the parking lot and .20 on the building.

The winning bid was $.03 / sq. ft. Like @Racer said above, there are companies that can knock out those jobs in 1/4 time that it would take me. They already have the equipment , personnel, and experience.

estimate

so I have no chance with this bid?
