2 Box Van Builds

Good info @DisplacedTexan. Thanks for sharing, it was very helpful!

@Cleaningbro I had seen a ladder rack that does the same thing as the one in the video you posted, but it went inside the van along the ceiling. Facebook kept showing me the ad for a month or so until I blocked it, but I thought it was a great idea. Of course, I can’t find it now. But it does exist! I seen’t it!

yep, SS ok. Can’t let any pressure treated lumber get on aluminum either. Learned that when I was redoing my jon boat this Fall.

What happens? Turn it that same baby poop green?

The copper the use in treating pt wood reacts negatively with AL. Will eat thru it eventually.

That’s good to know. You put a hole in your job boat??

Of course not. I knew better. LOL. No when I was rebuilding some platforms I was reading about or else I probably would have. It takes awhile though - sometimes years. Made it a pain though, have to use regular lumber and then put a couple of coats of pain on it anywhere it may get wet, which is a lot of places in a jon boat

No doubt. Are you familiar with a bow fishing rig?

No, I’ve never fished for any bows. :grinning:

Got a buddy you don’t like, dump a handful of bb’s in his Jon boat

But if I don’t like him we wouldn’t be buddies

Thats really nice. My only question is they had a 55 gallon bleach tank and she kept calling a little 7 gallon tank the downstream tank. I sounded like they had to use a 12v to fill the 7 gallon on bleach from the 55. Why not pull their downstream straight from the 55?

Yeah, certain aspects of the build seemed overly complicated. They could’ve used a dual barb injector and pulled from the straight bleach and surfactant tanks simultaneously.

I think the dedicated downstream tank was 14 gallons (not nearly enough for a full day of washing). The surfactant tanks were 7.

Yeah I think you’re right about the 14. But it just doesn’t seem to make sense to have a separate tank and have the hassle of having to use a 12volt to fill it, then flush that system.

For context about the pic: 5 or 6 years ago I was riding the hatfield mccoy trails with Bob from pressuretek, Lisa and her husband. I had to leave for a family emergency so she kept sending me pics of my trail food shopping their ride. Lisa at the PA power wash store is good people.

I like their surface cleaner pan and drain, but the one gallon bin seemed like it would be a PITA to use. Why not mount it closer to the opening or on the wall. I wouldn’t want to use a ladder to get into the truck then walk across the floor to access the jugs. Very shiny inside that truck

You need a ladder to reach the button on the top hose reel.

Very nice … beautiful truck… any one know where to go to get that garage door put on? And what it would cost? We were going to put 2 smaller doors on like a 4/4 and a 2/4. Just picked up our second uhaul!
