Your opinion wanted

Hey guys, new here and am in the midst of soaking up info but I am presented with an opportunity to choose between two machines and need to make a decision in the next couple of days so I’m throwing it out here…

First one is an older(?) Pressure Pro Eagle series. Direct drive 4k psi 4gpm. He says everything works, in the pictures you can see a little oil seeping out of the pump and it’s dusty. More pictures to come later. It was his brothers so he knows next to nothing. Asking price was 600 but he just told me that if I can make it to him before he moves he will sell for 300. No hoses or gun, testing would be impossible except for cranking it I see if it starts. Great deal but a gamble.

Second is an older Landa belt driven machine. Lt-4035 pump 10hp. 4.2gpm @ 4000psi. This man says it works just fine just needs a pressure unloader and we’re good to go. Old one wore out. Also comes with a hose reel, hose and a wand…maybe some other goodies, pictures aren’t great, getting more later. He seems to know more about these machines than the other guy, for what that is worth. 1,000 is the asking price. Not sure how firm he is on that. Less of a gamble but more of an up front cost.

I am not necessarily worried about the price difference… what is the best deal?! Just need something to make it through the summer startup phase to see if the market I am in is profitable.

Input appreciated.

I can’t speak to either of those machines, but “deal” is probably going to be far less important than “quality”. If you’re not bothered by either price, buy the better machine and you won’t be upset you did. Most times quality pays for itself (usually in multiples) in this business.

Google search for a 4 gpm belt driven pressure washer. Can probably get a brand new one for $1500 that will last you years.
