Yachts and other boats

So I have a potential customer that asked me what I would charge to wash his yacht occasionally. I have no experience with washing boats of any type but am looking for some information or some dos and dont’s with washing boats/yachts. I have talked with the lake project office and they said they didnt know of any chems I could use over the water, but thats about all Ive got so far.
I have several lakes in my area with tons of docks and boats so if it is worth it, I would like to be able to stay busy during the boating season. If anyone has any experience they would be willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it.

I grew up on boats and have spent a lot of time cleaning them. What always seemed to work my friends and I was spot spraying with SH and using a scrub brush. (can dilute, could probably get away with 1:3 ratio with 12.5 SH). Then we would give it a throughout rinse and it would look like brand new boat. However I am unsure on rules about bleach over the water, most the time we washed the boat on the trailer on land. Might want to check on that. However by spot spraying with a diluted solution you won’t be using that much bleach. Keep us posted with what you end up doing. This would be an interesting market to try and tap into.

Don’t use dawn, you can use a little bit of car wash soap.
Don’t use hard bristle brushes, you can use a soft brush on a pole and or a sponge.
Don’t use too much bleach, you can use soft scrub but only when needed.
You can also use a magic eraser on the grey streaks.

I like to hook up a lawn fertilizer bottle attachment to the hose with the soap, spray, brush, rinse.
Squeegee the windows.

@BTBPropertyService @JHH thank you both for replying. Any bit of suggestions I can get will help. There are a lot of boats both in the water and on land around these areas so it looks like there will be two different methods of cleaning. I will keep you posted if I can get something working well for me. I sure wouldn’t mind spending my work days on the lake!

Cool cool, just make sure you don’t burn or scratch off the wax

Oh great yachts! All the guys at the country club line up our yachts once a year near a small island and we have a bbq.

While you fuel up the boats?

What would be a safe % of bleach to use on the exterior of a boat?

You can’t hurt the exterior of a boat with bleach unless you have unknown cheap bottom paint. I’ve used straight bleach before trying to get my dad’s boat clean.
