Im on facebook with some guy saying DI are reliable as x jet. Ummm, sorry, DI units dont last basicly forever as x jet units do. Every tool has its place. Im not saying never DI, but like typical facebook guy he took it all wrong .X Jet, DI, 12v. Thet all have their place. I normally need more than a DI will give. If I dont they are great. But everyone knows their shelf life is fairly short. Thats not a secret. So next week my question to you guys will be what can i replace my cheap ■■■ AAA pump with on a 420 cc machine and I will supply with RPM on my machine. I know it will eventually die and am already looking into best replacement. So far so good. Even when switching ball valve on and off motor does not do a dramitic audio change. Not sure if that is good or not but she puts out and purrs like a kitten.
I’m lost here…“DI” for me is our filter for window cleaning…
Probably Downstream Injector. Took me a minute, too.
I kind of figured, but coming from a FB post, one never knows, lol
It’s like a kid got seven scrabble games, put all the tiles in a bucket, tossed them on the ground and said “look, I made a paragraph”.
You actually read the whole paragraph??? Wow, what a trooper.
Ok thanks
Downstream injector. I thought it was a common expression like SC. My bad.
So, whats your question, again?
Xjet only has a place for beginner washers. I haven’t used mine in three years. Once you go 12v of some flavor it’s all over.
After i get this reel and skid setup im going 12v. Already have the tank, and chem reel. Do I have to go up to 1/2 line for hose or can I use my existing 3/8?
I use 3/8" Ag hose with my 7gpm pump, works fine.
So with already having 100ft of hose, chem reel, and tank, besides a battery, gun, and pump, what else do i need to plan on buying?
Let me think…
Tanks (SH and water), proportioner, large deep cycle battery, charger, pump, hose reel, hose, double jrod and quick release, and don’t use a gun, get a pvc ball valve.
The other vets on here are better to ask, all I did was follow their instructions.
BTW the Ag hose is ok but not very flexible. May want to try some Flexzilla instead, just watch for flattening.
Why no gun?..they’re pretty cheap.
Have to be really careful with a ball valve on 12v. You drop it or loose control it won’t shut off. I like the trigger gun for 12v myself…
I tried the gun thing but got sketched out when it got dropped and sprayed bleach for a second. I just prefer the ball valve.
I’m a gun guy, wish there was a softwash gun with a safety.
I’m haven’t had a need to 12v the side of a house yet, but for the few roofs I’ve done as well as any heavy post treating driveways and patios I use this gun with the adjustable tip.
@dcbrock so this is the one I use and it has a safety. Only downside to it is if it gets too cold out, the gun will crack. It has happend to two of mine so far. I keep a few on hand just in case.
That’s the one I have, I don’t trust it. Wish they made one with a thumb lock or something I can kill it one handed.
