X-Jet modification

With the mod, is there a setting on the M5 when you twist to just get soap? Thinking of maybe trying this while 2 stepping for fleet washing.

No. You can add a plastic ball valve to the chem line if they don’t come with one installed.

I already have a set up, just thought I’d ask if this would be a viable option. Oh well, thanks for the reply though.

I use the x-jet sometimes when washing my truck just to get soap on quickly. it’s super easy to take on and off for rinsing. But I don’t think it would be a viable option for fleet washing. But then again I don’t know much about it.

There is a plastic valve to turn the soap on and off on the hose that comes with the M5 x-jet. You can only pull certain ratios depending on your machine. You can’t pull straight soap. Scroll up a few comments and you’ll see the ratios you can achieve with your machine.

With the m5? Mine came with one.

I know this. I have a DS Injector to pull my soaps. I use those proportioners to get the draw rate I want. I was asking if there was a setting on the twist M5 nozzle to pull soap (so having a size 40 orifice or something like that to draw the soap). This eliminates me changing the soaps via a ball valve right before my injector at the machine, it helps with efficiency. For example on the efficiency, my son does the ball valve and I can clean a straight truck in 8:32 whereas if I do everything myself it takes me 9:45. A 1:15 may not sound like much but when you start getting to 20-30 truck accounts it will get old walking back and forth let alone the 45 minutes you just added to your job.

The twist nozzle will always pull soap. The twist only changes the spray pattern from fan to strait. The orifice stays the same. Is that what you’re asking? Sorry if I’m not understanding what you’re asking lol.

Just get the @SchertzServicesLLC box and be done with it.

It was, I didn’t know if it had different nozzles with different orifice sizes

I’m thinking about it. But I’d love to hear some feedback from your trip tomorrow

If I worked by myself, I’d definitely have one mounted on my rig for sure. But my guy is mixing this or that in poly sprayers and keeping an eye out for troubles and what nots, then he takes over after I’m done with the tractor and 1 steps the trailer, or sometimes we run 2 machines, one for 2 step, hot ,the other for rinsing, cold. Then the remote box would be ideal

Me to. I can’t wait, I hope it’s gonna be beneficial

I’m gonna have to ask some questions in the schertzbox thread. If the gun tomorrow doesn’t work then I’m gonna have to do something. I’d like to not have my son come out and help out, although he likes to help out (he’s 17).

Only reason I haven’t got a box yet is because of the hf I ds alot. But if the remote ball valve is SS it should hold up. You don’t run hf ,so you’ll definitely be fine ,the house sprayers are running SH through it with no problems. .

That’s an expensive box to just try out with HF just to find out it wouldn’t work. But if it did, that would be pretty awesome for you

What gun are you talking about?

The one you are looking at tomorrow

Ooo. Lol

So in the past I have x jetted with a 4gpm machine. According to the info I can find the same x jet would work with a 5.5gpm machine.

Today I tried to use it with the 5.5. When trigger is pulled it will push a ton out of water the suction tube. Out of curiosity I switched the nozzle to one for the 4gpm machine. X Jet worked fine then. Anybody know what gives? Like I said it appears from the research I have done it should work. Apparantly not
