X jet m jet what type of bucket to use

i use a 15 gal bucket on a hand kart with air tires you can buy for about $35 you only have to mix about 7 to 10 gal at a time

They sell a spill proof tote for it. Aready plumbed with a barb in the cap.

here is the top. It is a 5 gallon jug.

Here is mine on a cart with a bracket I had made. I rarely use a full 5 gallons on any one job.

So why do yall like xjetting over downstreaming? If the ratios are similar and downstreaming is more convenient.

I can’t speak for everyone, but for me its not hard to pull a cart around to x-jet. I like the ease of switching the nozzle rather than waiting for the hose to clean out to rinse. Also, it much easier on the equipment. In the end it comes down to preference.

I don’t prefer X-Jet all the time, but there are times where I like the ability to shoot a higher concentration of chems, or the rare occasion where I need to soap a hard-to-reach area, and X-jet fits the bill perfectly. The rest of the the time I downstream. When I wanna switch from soap to rinse when downstreaming, I switch nozzles on the j-rod 4-way.

When I use the X-Jet I use a 6 Gallon Bucket strapped to a hand cart. Hand Cart has larger pneumatic wheels that make it easy to move on the grass/dirt. But I only use the X-jet for the really really nasty jobs, Just regular down streaming seems more efficient for me.

Whats the ratio for the x jet?

2 gallons SH, 3 gallons water, 5 once preferred soap. Then use whatever proportioner you want with your machine.

I go through a 5 gallon jug in a minute and a half. the ratio’s are not even close. I use straight sh and soap and no proportioner. Used it today on algae that leaves black stains in the concrete. 10 minutes later stains are gone. Down streaming couldn’t do that, not in a reasonable amount of time anyway. ,

Hmm you have my attention now haha

Easy answer for me considering that I did the DS thing for a few yrs before I discovered X-jetting back in 2001 and then never went back. Since I always liked fo apply my chemicals a bit stronger then most so the chemicals do the majority of the work and we always rinse like crazy, X-Jetting was for me.

At the strongest end X-jets can shoot straight SH for example at 2parts water to 1 part SH compared to DSing which is 8-1 @ best. Plus if you DS you we’ll eventually rot out your hoses, guns and quick connects since the SH runs thru all of them when X-jets it only runs thru the x-jet nozzle at the end of the wand.

We use x-jets on roofs when we don’t need fo go as strong as our dedicated roof pump can, we use x-jets on wood restoration jobs where light stripping and brightening need to be done and we use x-jets on all vinyl houses just to name a few things we use them for.

X-jets for us Rock!

Hi

How many gallons do yo use to clean a house or a roof ? Why not use straight sh with soap and proportioners ?

I just bought an x-jet and have no experience  thanks for your help

Most houses we do use 3 1/2 to 4 gallons of mix. Roof cleaning is a different story, and we do not X-jet those. Typical roof job for us is about 65 gallons of mix with a dedicated pump.

65 gallons of mix? That sounds like a lot.
