X-Jet help for a rubber Scrubber

@Hotshot and I have been talking a little. Is there a way to incorporate an XJet where you would put the downstream injector? I’ve never seen an XJet up close so I have zero clue. If you can do that, what kind of psi are you applying chemical? Right now with a downstream injector I am getting 70psi and want a lot more to help with cleaning. Would I need a certain soap tip to draw soap from the XJet?

And bare with me as I have zero clue on xjets and how they work.

You could almost call an x-jet a downstream injector of some sort. Instead the action happens at the tip. They both siphon. If an xjet was somehow plumbed where a conventional injector would go I don’t think it will give you the percentage on the wall that they do when mounted at the gun. Hose carries water and dilutes further, with an xjet the mix is right at the tip. Generally 2+ percent on the wall. Don’t be shy to play around with this stuff, it’s just calculating volume.

Don’t understand when you say your’re only getting 70psi when you’re down streaming. What the heck are you using? You can get a lot more than that - say maybe 300-400 psi and pull soap but if you need a lot of pressure, got with the xjet. Get the adjustable one. What size machine you running? You could borrow mine to try or you may be able to fine someone local who has one.

You can’t replace downstream injector with an x-jet at least not in the same place. As all of you know, An injector has a check valve that closes when pressure is raised. An xjet does not. If you put it before your gun it will work great until you release the trigger. Once flow is shut off there is nothing keeping that pressure in the line which in return will shoot water back into your chemical tank. It will act the same as when the little spring breaks in the injector and gets jammed around the metal ball.

According to the nozzle chart it says 70psi for a 40040 tip with 4.8gpm machine. That is how I came up with the 70psi

Well damn! That helps with the mental brainstorming.

What psi does an xjet shoot chem at?

I honestly don’t know. I don’t play with my xjet very often.

Probably about 1800 I’m guessing, never checked but it comes out pretty darn strong

so try a tip that gives you about 3-400 psi

Trying to draw soap and apply it at around 1000 psi or higher, when you say get the adjustable one are you referring to the M5 nozzle @Racer ?

Can’t ya buy a check valve to put in line some where then @sgb ?

No. It would have to go between between the barb and actual injector part of the xjet which you would just be building downstream injector at that point.

I’m starting to play around a little more. Went with a 1.8 DS Injector (for a 2-3gpm machine). Tried using a #10 tip to see if it would draw soap. Going to just start working my way up from there with a #12, #14, #15

y, think that would maybe work better for you guys

y, in 20 min you can find what you want by playing with it.

Dultmeier Sales didn’t have any other tips in stock. Gotta order them. Got time now since 2 of my big contracts paused service due to this damn virus.

Pressuretek has a ton of meg nozzles for sale, give them a holler and tell them what your up to George

I’ll do the same, Ain’t no sence in you spending all your time alone figuring this stuff out. Strength in numbers I reckon ,Right?

Just tell Bob what you want, to get the most pressure you can and still draw soap. He should be able to get you close off top of his head or @Innocentbystander may know how much psi you can use and still draw soap.
