Alright, so today I was excited to use my x jet for the first time. I am running a 4gpm 4K psi direct drive. (I know but I’m waiting for the right Honda 8gpm to come around for sale). So I ran a 100 ft 3/4” poly braided hose from my chemical tank to the gun. My mixture was 50/50 in a 12 gallon drum with about a mason jar full of emulsifier plus. I started on the house and just didn’t get a lot of suds and it took me forever to get the mold and mildew off just on one side. So I dumped the x jet, hooked up my other set up with a injector at the gun and a 100ft 1/4” poly braided tube with a blue and pink tip from Lowe’s. It’s been working great for me and am waiting on a JRod to come in the mail soon. I wish the Xjet would’ve worked a little better but will stick to my old setup until I get a higher gpm machine. I haven’t tried downstreaming yet as I am nervous to be 200ft away from the truck and find out the chemical is drying to fast on a window or I got chemical on a plant and need to switch it to rinse really quick. I am going to be downstreaming my next job to see how it goes and hopefully it will save me from running two hoses zip tied together around a house. I didn’t have a restriction tip on the end of the chemical line for the x jet thus why I mixed it 50/50. I’m all ears open on your opinions just please keep the nonsense ones to yourself as I’m asking for advice on what I’m doing wrong. Ohh… and I’m looking for a 8gpm in the south east area lol
You are worrying way to much. Put you DS injector where it is supposed to be and go to work. If you still have this many questions, you shouldn’t be cleaning other people’s homes. Practice at your house for a couple weeks at least to get your equipment and chems figured out
Where in the south east are you?
Chattanooga Tn. Also, did the gutter brightening with f13 and turned out excellent.
You should be able to find a good used machine in Atlanta. There are a ton of shops up there. Just call them and let them know you are looking for used equipment.
Seriously though, down streaming and xjet and 2 completely different things. You are not going to kill any plants downstreaming unless you fill a flower pot with wash water.
You know any names of the shops that sell used ones? I would drive there right now and get one. Lol
Just need to search for them and call. There is ARB Enterprises in Chattanooga. They may be able to help you
Nashville is getting a PW store this week! Might wana talk to them
I remeber being nervous as well but if your going to go swiming you have to get wet! It will be fine just pay attention. You can always re wet an area then continue rinsing if your worried.
So bunch of questions? What was the 3/4 poly braided hose used for. Was it the xjet. If so too big. I personally wouldn’t try pulling more than 30-50’ with the right sized hose. What insert did you have in the Xjet? If you’re using a long wand the xjet won’t pull if you’re running too much line.
One mason jar of Emulsifier plus in 12 gal of mix is nothing. You might as well spit in it. You need about 4-5 gallons in a 12 gal mix.
Thanks racer, I mean I had a 3/8 hose of the tubing to the X jet. I will keep the x jet in the tool box and will attempt down streaming. I didn’t have a insert in. Thanks for all your help
@HydroBlast… North of Atlanta is a place called North Georgia Airless, there are a great dealer, lot sure about the used ones as I have only bought a new machine from them, I highly recommend them.
With a 4gpm machine you shouldn’t have any problems with the strength of your mix downstreaming houses.
Thanks I’ll give it a try. I will change over to a pyrolance to do residential.
