Does anyone have a link or diagram to use pressure washer to charge 12 v battery for soft wash. Currently have a gx390 engine.
You sure your engine has an alternator?
Actually I have no idea that’s why I’m in the newbie section lol. Just heard that’s how some people charge their batteries. so it got me asking these questions lol.
Most guys on here have larger engines with electric start, so they have alternators. The 390 could or could not have one. If you don’t have e-start, I’d guess you can’t charge 12v from it.

I thought it was an option on the 390??? I’m pretty sure my 390 doesn’t
It is part of it being an electric start. If yours is electric start it has it.
Just change out the battery on your machine with a large marine deep cycle/starting battery and wire you’re pump to it. It’ll always stay charged
I think they started putting on all of the 390’s around 2012. Other wise you wouldn’t be able to run an electric start. But for years even the ones w/o electric start have advertised they had alternator so you could add. The older Honda GXV motors all had because they were used primarily for riding mowers which all had electric start., Same for some of their other uses like in generators. Think they probably just standardized at some point.
