I was bidding a large residential job, and the homeowner asked us to also give a bid on his medical building. He requested a quote for windows as well. I am curious what a fair rate for window cleaning a 3 story building would be. There are about 90 windows.
Have they been cleaned within the last century?

Window cleaner long before I became a soft washer. Price it by the window pane and compare this to how
long you think it will take you to do charging at your hourly rate, they should be close. Good Luck!

I would look at the cost of a water fed pole to get you 25 ft. Do them from the ground.
You might not make any money … Prob lose some. But chalk it up to learning a new skill and having another service to offer your customer base.
If you don’t buy water fed pole---- arm yourself w a T bar and squeegee. Learn proper techniques ( DVDs available) make your own soap.
32 oz water
8 oz white vinegar
1-2 squirts of dawn dish soap
*** don’t forget to print MSDS sheets
Learn your time do do one window… From there, figure what you need to invoice per hour. That will tell you your rate per window to bid … Don’t forget about ladder time, electrical wires, trees, and difficult to reach windows. They all add time.

Window cleaning as an add on to pressure washing, get your self set up with a water fed
pole, find out the tds (total dissolved solids) of the water in your service area, as this lets
you know if you will need RO with your system. As Thad stated, window cleaners, pressure
