I have been approached by the local Sonic to clean their sidewalks and area where the tables are. I have not done any commercial work. I usually do house washes, driveways, patios, etc.
My concern is my set up. I have a 4gpm machine and a surface cleaner. Would this do the job?
I have a feeling its going to be a long job, with the equipment I have, but I think it will open up some doors for me if I can get it done.
You need heat more than gpm. Be mindful you don’t float them too much on your services. I’ve known a few washers that were never paid on multiple services for Sonic locations.
Thats good to know. They reached out to me. I don’t eat there so i have no idea how bad it is. I’m definitely ok with telling them i’m not their guy if I dont think I can do a good job.
If you want to go after commercial work, go rent a hot water machine and do a good job. Likely won’t make much money, but it’d be a small cost for a foot in the door.
Also make sure your insurance covers commercial work.
Just an FYI, unless the Sonic manager will be paying out of pocket (doubtful) you’ll be dealing with a proxy third party company that is out of state and has already called a few other companies in your area for the lowest price.
