Why does this keep happening ?!?!?!?!?!

I’m spraying WITH the weep holes and with the overlapping siding, and I’m not standing too close… But I keep getting these stains that wanna just keep running down from behind the siding !!! It rubs off with my fingers but it wont rinse off!!! Someone please tell me, is this just dirt from really dirty siding or is it oxidation or BOTH !!! IM PULLING MY HAIR OUT !!!

Doesn’t rinse but comes off with your finger it’s most likely oxidation. If it is from the weep holes the rain will take care of it…yet sometimes rinsing won’t do anything.

Usually weep holes are more blotchy. Not so uniform

Are you only seeing it on the lower half of the house?

Darn Joey, that 2nd pic from the bottom, did you actually wash the house? You using any soap. You got to go back on that one. Looks like you sprayed mud on it. Break out the brush if you have to. Looks like dirt from siding. That’s not oxidation.

I second that. Honestly I hate washing vinyl houses. It helps if you have a lot of flow and can just use a wide fan and flood the siding from the top. How many gpm you running @anon82972966?

@racer it is def dirt from the siding. I dont know WHAT the hell was behind that siding but it was purging itself out of every orifice you could imagine and wanted to just ruin the nice clean job I had just done. I did everything the way I was supposed to but for some reason that dirt and grime came to party, and then didnt wanna brush off. Also mind you this was only the front of the house. Other parts of the house had the same issue but not even close to being as bad as the front of the house. That siding must be getting REALLY bad fungus or mold behind it, or a bug problem maybe idk. I’m stumped. But I’m helping the guy as much as I can. I’m curious to see if brushing on f13 gutter grenade in a test spot would help.

But it is definitely dirt. It just manifested itself with the smallest amount of water. And again ONLY on the small front section of the house. Other parts of the house came out fine. With some dirt coming out of a couple holes here and there. But for the most part it was coming out good. Except for the front. One other side had a couple bad spots. But nothing like the front.

Peel back the siding…is there Tyvek wrapping?

I just walked away from a large condo job after the first building we washed had dirt run marks everywhere. We pulled back the siding and there was no Tyvek wrap…just osb that was filthy. Inspected the other twelve buildings and
They were the same. Walked away…to much of a headache

Yours looks crazy, not blotchy which is odd. You must have a sand dune behind that siding

Thank kinda sucks to walk away from… just in terms of what wud prolly be a decent amount of income.

I agree with @Patriotspwashing. Take a couple of pieces loose and see what’s behind it. A lot of homes in the ole days they just put the vinyl up over whatever. You can try pressure washing a small area, your f13 on a little area, hand wiping area until you see what will work best, but I’d look behind first before I did anything. May be a lost cause.

Never seen anything quite that bad. Has home ever been washed before?

I dont think it’s ever been washed before. And the homeowner said when he did the siding he used the wrap stuff. So I mean it seems like he did a good job and knew what he was doing. Oh and guys did I mention there was a bear in the woods growling at me while I was standing there scratching my head trying to figure it out ? Lol

@Innocentbystander if that was gonna work, it would have magically disappeared yesterday because I swore at it enough. No one was home of course tho ! Lol

My reply was tongue in cheek. I stopped reading most of your thread because of the language. Good luck with the stains

Same here. There are a lot of movies that are awesome but because of the language we don’t like to watch. They would be much more enjoyable with out the language that serves no purpose

Took care of it today. Happy customer and a five star review on social media. CheaaAaa

So what did you do to fix it???

Used some F8 in a pump sprayer… worked like a charm on those stains. When I left, the siding looked like it was pulled off the shelf and installed yesterday. Lol
