Got a call from home advisor idk but just curious see who uses it on here
run away quickly. Bigger scam than BBB
I’ve got a home advisor. She’s always telling me to clean my stuff up. And Make the bed. And Fold the towels. And Give her a hug. And Wash the house. And go to the shops
I’ve only used my home advisor for a few years but their sales dept is pushing for a long term contract.
I’ve heard they can lock you in for life?? Even if another vendor has a better offer.
I have found Homeadvisor to be very helpful to our business and each and every customer has the potential to be a repeat. Best of luck!
I use them, but will more than likely not re-up my deal this year. A new company starting out its probably a good thing, but the leads lately aren’t very good. Some leads are competitors, some leads you never even get a hold of the customer from the info they give you. It can work, but for me and my company, I think it’s time we put our marketing $ elsewhere.
I was a big HomeAdvisor fanboy until this last week. HomeAdvisor made up a big portion of business just starting out, however, Google has been sending me more phone calls lately home advisor.
I just put my HomeAdvisor leads on hold for 90 days today because last week I had a string of three leads, all within a couple days, that home advisor sent, and as suggested by HA, I called through the app. When I called through the app it said that the number is been disconnected or there was no good number one person didn’t even provide a name.
When I called and requested credits they said that the credits would be requested and I should see them on my account within the next 14 days.
I got an email over the weekend that said that all of those credit request has been denied. They said they tried to contact those three customers and were able to contact them with no problem. They didn’t want to hear that there was an issue with the application then and I should still be credited since I was unable to call. They can track that.
The clown on the other end of the line said since they were able to contact the customer I would not be issued the credits.
I understand that leads don’t always turn into business, but I sure as hell don’t want to pay for leads that aren’t leads. Bad form HomeAdvisor…
In my area, I’ve had great success with Thumbtack, there’s no contract to sign, you only pay for jobs, you bid on & if customer does not look at your bid within 48 hrs, your company is reimbursed , the cost of the bid.
I’ve heard way to many stories about HA to sign up with them.
Home Advisor is better than Thumb Tack that is for sure but both are bad about sending out phony leads. Will not use them next year.
What does HA charge pressure washing contractors? I know they charge me between $16-$36 per lead for lawn care/landscaping service leads. Just curious if its similar to that considering pressure washing may only be a one time, or once per year gig.
