I’ve searched but can’t find any real key differences between the two aside from the housing material and the handle/the way it mounts.
Do they share the same swivel?

That’s funny. It’s like saying one is round and black and one is square and yellow, but I don’t see a difference! LOL
BUT, What machine are you running? I don’t see a replacement swivel for the Ultra, jus a seal kit. So no, they don’t share the swivel. I suspect the ultra is a lesser grade unit, but I could be wrong. You could get away with using a Classic with a 4 gpm machine, since the bar is really only 17 inches, even though it has a 19 inch housing there is a 1 inch clearance. The Classic works awesome.
OOPs just found a swivel cartridge that says it fits the ultra, and the classic, so there you go. I’d still get the classic for the extra width though. Whisper wash is the best IMO
Ultra is 16 inch
Ultra WW - with wheels is 19 inch with no skirt.
I had a ultra clean WW - it cleaned great but sitting high with no skirt it use to soak my legs and toss dirty water out of the bottom. I Don’t recommend ultra WW.
I have a 5.5 and a 4gpm. I’ve had a hammerhead for two years and have had my fill of it.
Nick nailed it… The wheels on the 19" without the skirt. I can’t have that. I’ll just get the 19" classic.
You won’t be sorry. The difference between a Hammerhead and a Classic is night and day!
Whats the best recommend size? 19,20,21,23,24

What do you mean? The Classic comes in 1 size. 19 inch. Their are other Whisper wash SC’s I have an Aqua Pro 24" inch Which I can run with my 5. gpm, but I usually only use it when I tie my two machines together for 10 gallons per minute. The rule of thumb is 4" of surface cleaner for every gallon of output from your machine. So a 4 gpm machine by rule should be using a 16" Surface cleaner. But you can get away with a Classic and even a Hammerhead(though it’s slower and seems to strip the cream off the concrete more often) I us the Classic with my 5.5 gpm machine and it works better than perfect. I haven’t seen a stripe or line since I started using it.
I finally bought the classic from bob @ pressure Tek. After a long spring and summer I was able to save money to buy the classic SC and let me tell you I’ve never used any other SC but I will declare that the classic is the CADILLAC of all SC. It is so easy to use and cleans driveways and sidewalks in no time. I’ve just started my business this past year and have come a long way. I wish I would have bought this at the beginning but have a huge appreciation for the classic after busting my butt all summer long.

I was one of the numbskulls that didn’t listen and got a Hammerhead, mainly because i didn’t want to shell out $700, when there was a perfectly good SC at Northern for $350. Of course the Hammerhead went down right in front of a client, while I was doing a strip mall. Ended up running to Northern like an idiot and buying a really bad stainless steel piece of garbage. Brought it back and bought ANOTHER Hammerhead, uh DUH! Then one day I chiseled out my wallet and sprung for the Classic. Since then, I haven’t even touched the two Hammerheads I have, and then I bought an Aqua Pro too ! Whisper Wash all the way. Moral of the story, avoid the Hammerhead-ache ,listen to the guys on this board and others, they know what they are talking about. Here’s my collection…so far!
Ralph do you find your self using the classic more then aqua pro?? I think I want to get a aqua pro, isn’t it basically a big classic?
starting out as a part time weekend business while working 50+ hours for my dads cleaning business. so as the concrete jobs come ive been renting a SC for $16 a day. Once it picks up in the spring and I am doing more jobs I will buy the classic for sure.

I use the Classic more, but I use the Aqua Pro a lot too. I do a lot of driveways and pic and choose when to use it. I will be using it Thursday on a 7500 sq ft driveway, I’ll be hooking my 4.6 gpm and 5.5 gpm together for that one. Definitely could use the extra width. Yes it uses the same swivel. If you look at the pic it is a monster, it doesn’t handle like the classic, it is sort of front heavy and I have to hold the handle low to get it to float. The Aqua Pro cleans just as well as a Classic, very well!
i run two 4/4000 machines (not linked) and they push a 20" Whirl Away decent but it is slow moving. Considering bumping down to a 16" Ultra.
The new body that BE sells is very well designed; and less likely to warp from heat because of the ridges they put into their new mold. Their swivels however don’t hold up as well with over 6gpm.
Im getting a whirl a way but not sure whether to get the 16" or 18"on wheels. I have a 4,000psi 4gpm

“Hammerhead-ache”…now that’s the truth! The best surface cleaner I’ve ever used was my Silver Eagle whirlybird, at least for big jobs. It’s just too big and clunky for daily use though. Never tried a WW or a mosmatic.
I use a hammerhead 5 days a week for 4 months straight cleaning Walgreen stores , not one problem.

I got 6 months out of mine. Swivel exploded and scarred inside housing. Had to buy a new one. Been using my Classic every working day for 10 months now, no sign of problems. I hope you have a spare, it’s only a matter of time.
