If I were within 1000 miles of Raleigh I would go to MVP services. I would avoid any vendor who supported orgs that are detrimental to the industry (uamcc, pwna etc), any vendor that sold Pressure Pro, and most importantly, and vendor that was also a washing contractor.

I’ve heard you trash the pwna multiple times. Just curious why you think they are detrimental to the industry? I was a member for a year and went to one of their conferences about 4 years ago. Everything was pretty solid.

They sell/give bmp’s to municipalities. They promised in writing that they would never do that. The president at the time promised me over the phone. Once they were found out they embraced it and started doing it publicly. Same with other orgs. When the major “stock holder” in an org pushes bmp’s and they are a national distributor of reclaim equipment, there is a problem. Robert Hinderlighter showed up with the UAMCC in Charlotte NC at a public meeting with contractors and the city about BMP’s. Robert was literally in the parking lot with a bull horn calling contractors over to look at his reclaim equipment while the org was “helping” the city with their bmp’s. I’ve been around since the late 90"s in this industry. I’ve seen the hurt and financial ruin orgs can cause to contractors. I’ve been on the receiving end of them calling in false reports about my business.

Yes I do remember a big emphasis on reclaiming now that you mention it!

Vendors always have a gimmick, they have to if they aren’t legitimate. It was ride on surface cleaners 20 years ago, then reclaim, now it’s 12v and booster pumps. It all cycles around. But when an org tries to profit off the naive or uneducated contractor I take umbrage.

Well then definitely Southside Equipment here in Louisville. @VPW

I just have to ask, for those in the states that require the water to be recycled, don’t they have to use reclaim? Also besides gas and air powered systems what is wrong with 12v?

Every state has to reclaim. CWA is federal. But some areas are happy with a bale of hay in front of a storm drain, or are ok with water only, no soaps, going down the drain. Pwn@ added wordage to BMPs that said hot water was the same as soap. I just give you grief about 12v. I don’t have need for it but I’m sure others do. I hate it when vendors try to convince people to use it to actually wash buildings though.

Oh I gotcha.

I think his beef is with folks selling reclaim equipment, while pushing reclaim regulations to the governing bodies. Basically, it feels a lot like, “hey, I’ll sell you this great equipment to help you comply with those gov’t requirements easier…even though I may be the reason you have to comply with those requirements in the first place…”
