What Type of Driveway Stain Is this?

Hi All,

Visited this property for an estimate and wasn’t exactly sure what type of stain this was. It looks like dirt runoff that kind of stuck onto the driveway, but i could be totally wrong.

Would SH 12.5% and elemonator take care of this type of stain? Or do you think I need to buy additional products?

Looks like someone did a crappy oil change. Test it

I will definitely pre-test, just making sure if I need to purchase additional chemicals before getting to the job to get this type of stain off. Thanks for your help.

Third picture looks like acorn stains.

Top two look like someone tried cleaning up oil with some homedepot cleaner and a garden hose.

This might sound obvious but did you ask the homeowner what happened there?

I keep a spray bottle with SH in it and take it on all my bids. Shoot a small spot and see if you get any reaction. It works for testing stuff like this and is the BEST sales tool for selling fence staining jobs. To keep the bottle working, always invert it and pump the sprayer dry then remove the sprayer and spray a few shots of water through it. A $3.28 ZEP spray bottle will last for months if you do it this way.

Great idea! Good to know plus not wasting any chemical or time with bottle sprayer. I learns to always do a test patch before starting.
