What’s this one weird thing

Just bought my first petrol powered pump, even though I know it’s bad for the environment.

But… what’s this thing? It looks like a retractable power lead… but you guys finally convinced me that I shouldn’t use my 240v electric pressure washer, so why would a petrol engine would it have a retractable power lead???

Please help!

Only pull that if you are using a turbo nozzle. It is the power booster. It also makes a short recording play. But you are probably to young to remember that.
