What is your cost per customer on average?

that sounds like you…

I keep it simple due to my ignorance

The irony here is golden. Sounds like something 14 year old me would say.
Ya don’t know what you don’t know but you do know that you don’t know

Where does it drive them? Can you post a link to your website so we can all see what a professional site should look like?

I am a very small, part-time, one-man operation, so I feel that my cost to gain a customer are extremely small.

I don’t pay for advertising. Weekly postings on a few Facebook pages, Nextdoor, and a free/super basic Google page. I invest maybe 10 minutes of my time each Tuesday morning making my posts on FB.

My truck is an aluminum body, so I had to spend $100 total to have two vinyl decals ($50 each) added to the doors of my truck.

I bought 4 lawn signs at $75 total that I move around routinely.

Also bought a box of 250 business cards 2 years ago for $40 maybe.

No flyers, no mailers, no billboards, no radio ads, no reoccurring paid advertising at all.

Most of my business comes from my FB posts and word of mouth and/or a neighbor stopping by while I’m washing in their neighborhood. I take their address, give them a business card and tell them I’ll stop by once I’m done with the house I’m washing to take a look if they like.

I know that my time has value, but with my operation, my actual costs are low. But so is the amount of customers I service - 100 or so a year.

You said the other day you don’t have any real equipment and haven’t washed anything for money yet. But you come on here telling us about ROI, brand building etc. to a group that is fairly successful. I’m not sure how old you are, I would guess relatively young, but I’d beware of being too cocky, there may be some people on here with some pretty diverse and varied backgrounds that may surprise you.

@Bigpriceman seriously though. I’m thinking about writing little notes pitching my wares and tying them to homing pigeons to advertise. I’m afraid that they’ll just come back to roost before the message is delivered. Any ideas on this?
