What is upstream and downstream

Can somebody please explain to me the difference between upstream and downstream chemical injection? I’m sure pressurewashingproducts.com will chime in she is just great and very helpful! LOL

So is the search button. 3 hours of reading time isnt showing much for you digging in and trying to learn. All the info is out there

As @Donut said, you will learn very quick on this forum that the search feature in the upper right hand corner is your best friend. Also as he stated all of the info is on this forum. Read a bunch and then ask away. To answer this one quick-- upstream would be before the pump–chems going through the pump. Downstream would be after the pump, the preferred method-- no chems in the pump…That is my freebie lol

Thanks guys

For the sake of sanity, I wouldn’t even search upstreaming. Haven’t seen anyone in 3 years even ask about it. Don’t run anything but water through your pump.

Ok cool. I’m really nervous guys lol but I’m gonna just dig in. Hot water pw, surface cleaner ,200 ft of hose, couple hundred gallon buffer tank , small trailer and a smile

It’s a side job till it turns into somethin. I’m dumping my whole savings into this 6g isn’t much but its what I got

are you saying I’m not trying?

… here’s the answer.

Upstreaming. Putting chemicals into the water before it goes through the pump. The chemicals are applied at high pressure. The chemicals may damage your pump

Downstreaming. Putting the chemical into the water after the pump. The chemicals are applied at low pressure. The chemicals do not pass through your pump so they cannot damage it.

More words have been typed telling you to search than answering lol

Your here, thats good… but doing some research and learning what you can will help you not only learn more, but then youll have an idea of what your asking too.

That’s why I asked @Donut, I’m doing research now. On here too. Been on here for hours, my head hurts too

I will add… use the bookmark feature. Im stupid and didnt discover it until late, could have been very useful in early goings.

I am assuming 6g means $6,000. I would start out using a rented pressure washer for your first few jobs, or buy something used. This way you can test the waters and see how much work you can get. Make your 6k then invest in great equipment.

Oh… I didnt read much beyond blah blah use the search bar

I don’t think I’ve ever used the search bar, maybe I’m just rude

LOL, the funny thing about the search bar on here. When you type something in it…most of the time all you can find is people saying…wait for it…use the search bar. Get extremely frustrating

Sounds like you’re on the right track. Some times some people on this forum tend to be a little less than friendly but its a great place to learn. Dont take it personal. Good luck

well thanks  I’m reading all I can. I’m spending my whole savings on this small business. Its only six grand or so but its all I got

You don’t need much to get started. 6 gs should get you going. If it’s an option you might consider financing you’re equipment and spending some of that on a good website and some marketing materials.

I’m gonna make free website just a one pager. Heck the machines are around 5 grand for decent gpm and belt drive
