What is this and can I soft wash it?

I am new to pressure washing and I have only been washing vinyl siding with little to no real problems. This home will be my first outside of easy vinyl jobs. It is a 3000 sq ft stucco home that has had this mildew present on the wood outlines around the roof and porch. The customer says that its been around for 4-6 months. The growth is only on the wood.

Ive been downstreaming HomeDepots 8.25% 4 gallons, 1 gallon water, and a cherry surfactant. I don’t want to damage anything, but I need it cleaned. Does this require longer dwell time, scrubbing, etc? Im roughly in the $350-$450 range. And Im in GA.

I would ask customer if this wood has been recently painted. An improper
wood prep before paint being applied can have this problem on the wood
itself coming through the paint. Customer says been around 4-6 months?
I am betting this wood has had recent paint job carried out! Good Luck.

She informed me that it has not been painted. I took a sample of my solution and applied it with great results, so I sold the job. You are correct in the prep, certain areas you can see the brush strokes.

How does an improper paint job effect a soft wash? I let her know that it might not stay as clean for as long, but thats about all I had for her.

Improper paint job does not affect a soft wash. I was talking
about the wood had maybe not been properly cleaned and
neutralized before it was painted. Not recently painted, this
stuff should be on surface of paint only.Heads up only here,
suggest test spot first on paint and stained surfaces.
