What got you started

I’m curious to hear from those that left a previous job to start their business. As a new guy I just read and read and read on here. I’ve had questions in the PW business so far and thankfully up to this point I’ve been able to read about it. I currently do this on the side along with my window cleaning business. I have been continuing to grow the last 2 years and I often wonder about making the jump :grimacing:But…

For those of you that left a job to pursue your own business let’s hear your story? When did you decide to go all in? What kind of job did you walk away from and why did you do it? I love the spirit of entrepreneurship and the motivation it brings. Please share

Thanks in advance

I have ALWAYS pressure washed, at least the last 20 years. I’m a painter by trade and washing goes hand in hand with painting. I just recently started soft washing and I’m rather embarrassed that it didn’t occur to me until maybe 6 months ago to learn the soft washing game.

There is a learning curve. This site is your library, utilize it.

Years ago, when I was just a young buck, I read some advice on a bbs. I will never forget it, sitting in front of my Altair 8800 streaming at full duplex 300 bits per sec. These two words burned into my mind and changed my life forever…“Walk away”

It seemed so simple, but what did it all mean? Were these words somehow directly passed from Solomon?

All one can say is, truly awesome wash insightfulness!

That was long before the Internets and yet decades later I still struggle with it’s meaning. Those words turning over and over, echoing in my mind as I surface clean.

And that’s how it started for me.

Haven’t left yet, lots of studying left to do, but an unasked for divorce freed me from the responsibilities of being a husband so I’m in a position to take a chance. Ive been stuck in a job with no opportunity for advancement for the next few years and that’s completely unacceptable.
