I’d learn on the fly. I wouldn’t take any repair work that mattered. The only two jobs I got are making Pinterest shelf brackets out of steel.
I’m only taking projects I can redo if I have to. Lol I know my limitations.
Plus, I’d turn down anything that took more than a day to do two of. Lol I really don’t like working winters but I don’t like sitting around that long either.
Good grief, you have turned into half the folks on the forums. 3 weeks ago you were the guy that couldn’t burn steel and now you have business cards. Go ahead and post pics of that school in Florida.
The dripping logo is reminiscent of a B-horror flick. There are too many different fonts and letter spacing going on; way too confusing to the eyes. No spacing after punctuation (commas and colons)
The back is just one big block of text. Besides the lack of proper spacing, it’s just too much info to compress into a 2” x 3.5” space. Keep it simple. Focus on your top 2 or 3 services, and don’t try to expound on them. You could give someone a brochure with before & afters and your other services, once you know they’re interested.
You may feel that you are capturing more possible jobs by having everything under the sun listed, but the reality is actually the opposite. You’re discouraging potential clients from taking you seriously.
Oh, and the phone number should really be either (area code) 555-1234 or area code-555-1234. Don’t use a hyphen and parentheses.
At the end of the day some people are going to like it some are not. I like it everyone has the own opinion and if someone doesnt wanna take me seriously or want me to do work for them over a card. I dont want the work anyway my work speakes for it self. And the reason for the back is if its not listed most people will assume I dont do it. Unfortunately didnt have enough space for spaces lol
First impressions last a Lifetime. It’s not a matter of “if you dont like it I dont need you” although it’s a perfectly fine attitude to have if your happy with it. It’s more of a way to give a potential customer a professionals first impression of you and your business. 9 out of ten times a card goes into the trash 10 minutes after you part ways, but the impression that card gives your customers has an impact on your bottom line. Left hand card. Right hand firm handshake, eye contact project professionalism. It will have a huge impact on your closing rate.
Your card looks like its dripping black tar on a really odd ranch style home that Marilyn Manson watches his favorite episodes of Tales from the Crypt in
First you started off good. “Can I give you some honest feed back” then everything went down hill when you started with “Ok, here goes. I mean no offense, but it honestly looks like a middle-schooler did it.” So your honest feed back dont me a ish to me. Im my opinion business cards are there only for a recognizable logo, name and number. Nothing wrong with my logo got all of you guys talking js. Over thinking and putting so much effort into logos and designs for other people and to get work is useless. belive me the guy in the 1.5 million dollar home puts you on the same level of juan the Gardner or juanita the maid.Other then that everything is online ads and social media. And if punctuation annoys you I can Only imagine what else does.
