I always look at it. And I always will wonder what kind of Western or political or military thriller you’re listening to next. My first reaction though as I didn’t borrow this. LOL
The day goes by so much faster with music or books on in the background. Listening to the engine hum is money in the bank, but it gets boring. Waterproof headphones are where it’s at. I still have to buy a pair every few months but it’s totally worth it.
Im the type of person that likes a radio’ but i refuse to wear headphones. Same reason I hate sunglasses and gloves. It makes me feel disconnected from reality. Im sure I have sone kind of problem lol
It’s funny that you say that. I’m supposed to wear glasses but I don’t. I feel like I’m in a video game when wearing them. I’m sure it’s like anything else, once you get used to them, it gets easier.
For anyone interested. I found two places to get audio books.
www.scribd.com
8.99 a month unlimited books and audiobooks
www.audiable.com w/ prime
14.99 a month. One free book per month
I’m currently doing a trial for both to see which one is better. From a glance it appears Scribd is a better deal, but it may be of lesser quality, or it may not. I’ll update here if interested.
All you need is an app called overdrive and you library card. Literally 10’s of thousands of audiobooks for free. @squidskc and I exchanged info plus I have family in other states with shared cards.
I listen to Eric Von Haessler on 750AM from 9 - 12 and then I’ll switch to Bill Handle on KFI occasionally. I like his show but I’m not big into California news so it depends on what he’s discussing that day. I also love Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History podcasts. His series on WW1 is amazing.
I don’t really listen to anything if I’m pressure washing because i feel like I’d have to have the volume so high on the headphones that I’d go deaf in a few months.
But if I’m doing other type of work, I’ll listen to Manager Tools: https://www.manager-tools.com/
Or Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka, Andrea Bocelli, etc, on YouTube
