What Direction to Mount PWer?

Guys, I need some help. My Power Washer just showed up and I need some help/guidance on which way/direction to mount the PWer in the box truck. I’ve attached some pics and there are some questions/comments to follow. Please help.

Ok, here’s the plan. This will be mounted along one of the walls in a 14’ box truck. There will be an access door cut into the box truck to access the machine and provide additional ventilation. I had planned on mounting the PWer on the passenger side wall. However, I do plan to have an additional machine in the next 4 months so if the layout of this machine limits me to the driver side wall, it’s not the end of the world (poor planning/rookie mistake on my part when ordering 1st machine - I dropped the ball on build/layout specs to manufacturer. Lesson Learned).

So, based on the layout of this machine, what is my best mounting option. Or, you guys might look at the pictures and say, “well, because of this, this, and this, you HAVE TO MOUNT…” You guys have the experience, what are your thoughts? What problems am I going to run into if I mount it… ? What are the benefits to mounting it like… ?

Thanks for all the help, and sorry for the rookie question (expect more to follow )

Main concerns should be the exhaust flow and access for maintenance and starting. But you can alleviate some headaches with drain extensions for the oil drains, and a relocation kit for the starting switch.

Plumbing is a bit less of a concern, as long as you use gradual bends, minimize your use of intermediate fittings, and use large diameter crush-proof tubing. I would lose the intake assembly (filter and whatnot) on that pump, or at least the restrictive garden hose fitting, and run 1” or larger hose directly to the pump. You can use a larger filter upstream, where it will be easier to access and monitor.

So it really comes down to what’s convenient and works for your ideal setup, and doesn’t light your rig on fire from hot exhaust

I’d personally mount it manifold up :laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

Seriously, though, I like the idea of using a box truck with access from the side. I would REALLY appreciate pics of your end result.

This is about 10 years old but same concept. Run exhaust out the truck

Thanks. Watched the video - probably like my 27th time watching it. And thanks again, many of my thoughts/ideas for my setup came from your different box truck videos. (And @Racer videos)

Think I’m going to mount this PWer driver side with exhaust pointed out access door. I saw the vents in your video, but I’m leaning toward access doors. I plan to get the truck wrapped - unlike you, I have/want to advertise - and I think doors will work better with the wrap.

Welcome back and I truly appreciate your input. Maybe I can get together an overhead drawing of my general setup idea to post here. I would love for you to comment…

…Because I would want your suggestions

It says 6.8gpm @ 3500psi. It’s a gear drive (if that’s not obvious from the pics). But I have no idea if those claims are accurate. I will test when I get everything setup.
