Recently bought a Wet Jet 4400 psi 4.2gpm hot water pressure washer. My inlet into the washer is approx 16” higher than my tank outlet (gravity feed) not pressurized. Is this too much of a lift? There’s about 3’ from tank to pump. I could lift the tank about 6-8” but not sure if that’s necessary.
Is the pump directly driven from the engine or is it belt driven? Direct drives aren’t really made to pull of a tank, the piston stroke is to quick to get good suction.
It’s a direct drive. I’ve got the tank raised, so now im at about 6” difference. That will leave some water in the tank as I don’t want to completely drain the tank.
