Wearing Crocs?

I went to check on one of my guys the other day while he was doing a job and I found him wearing a pair of crocs, you know those plastic shoes with holes in the top? So I asked him why he wasn’t wearing the rubber boots he said they’re too hot and the crocs are more comfortable. I’m looking for some opinions on this footwear. Good, bad, ugly, dangerous, safe for pressure washing, anybody use these?

I don’t let my guys wear anything that doesn’t protect their feet or isn’t safe to use on a ladder. Anything they wear on a job is either approved or provided by us. Ever been looking up, washing a house and realized later that you were standing in a fire ant mound? Ouch! lol

my middle school aged nephews informed me that crocs are the shoes to wear if you really want to get beat-up, LOL

My concern is the chemicals on the feet but I have washed houses many times with sneakers on that were soaking wet so maybe there’s no difference.

Haha, I heard that someone said “I don’t beat up my kids to punish them, I make them wear crocs to school and let the other kids do it.” Lol

My guys use muck boots and plenty of foot powder.

7" L. L. Bean boots. Possibly purchased or had rebuilt 10 - 12 pairs in the past dozen years. Priceless.

The only Crocs I know live in the deep South. No helper shows up without protective footwear.

He won’t think they are very comfortable when he gets stung by a wasp nest in the ground, or when the wand slips and the pressure cuts his toes, or when he drops some dry hydroxide beads on his wet toes. I go at least over the ankle with boots.
