Vinyl fence pricing

Thanks, They are a new one…got that job of off my first yard sign I put out at the end of my road. But I’m gonna mark it down so I can plan on next yr. Only thing I wasted a lot of mix, I now know I need to mix a weaker mix and put it in my new Chemical tank to have more. After my first 4 gals I did 50/50 and then downstreamed and it still worked great…

After fighting with overspray and creating a soggy swamp on one of these about a year ago, I decided I was going to buy a small, electric pump sprayer. 15 gallons maybe, and put 50/50 mix with no surfactant in it.

Put it my dad’s lawn mower trailer and pull it with the John Deere. White vinyl is tough to mess up and I thought that way would make less mess. I could rinse it with the PW, but applying that way sounded more fun and efficient. I haven’t had a split rail since worth going through that since. Lol

That’s a good idea…I have as 15 gal sprayer on my lawn mower I may fix me something up…

Oh BTW does that gun look familiar :joy: …thanks for showing urs that one day. I had the tip but never had the short gun but holy cow much easier to work with

You’re never fighting with the lever action of the long gun right?! Even on stuff I have to pop in a 25 degree or 40 degree tip it goes right in the short gun. Friggin love it.

like the classic ballad goes: I like it. I love it. I want some more of it. Lol

Seriously though I really like it. Don’t know what I did without one.

@Racer Thanks Rick, I sprayed both sides about 50 at a time with my house wash mix then I rinsed with the my 25 degree tip.

I went through more mix then I expected. Lesson learned! thanks to @squidskc for a Lil tip. But I’m taking all advice for next time lol

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but @squidskc or @SPC did either of you ever try the small electric pump to apply and then rinse with your PW? I looked at job today with about 1,600 LF of 3-rail vinyl fence and I’m trying to figure out what my best course of action would be. I do have a 20ish gal tank and pump I use at home for Killzall and 2,4-D application. If the pump worked well I could have my employee apply while I come behind and rinse and really save some time vs downstreaming.

@TDclean yes I did try a 15gal 12v 2.5gpm sprayer, it worked great I also tried just a pump sprayer took more time refilling it. Voth worked but the 12v worked best.

Thanks @SPC looks like I’ll go with the small 12v sprayer if I get the job

Did you use the 12v for rinsing too? Thanks.

Around here, you need some pressure to rinse because the birds like to sit on, so mildew and some serious bird poop sometimes.

I will be applying with 12v and rinsing with PW. Have a tech run one while I run the other.

I spray with a little 1 gallon 12v pump and rinse with the pressure washer of it’s a long fence

Use pressure for rinsing

Low pressure for rinsing. Just like washing a house. If it’s going to rain you don’t need to rinse

Do you guys wet the ground around the fence prior to applying mix? I washed my sister in laws yesterday and went through and wet the grass down first, killed a lot of time. Was wondering if anyone just applied mix then rinsed and had no issues with grass burning. Thanks
