It would be better to just buy a new hot box
The thought crossed my mind. Wouldn’t I need a hotbox to match my gpm? I seen one on northern tool that was 4gpm and just assumed it wouldn’t work with my 5gpm
This one is not much more

If you even need it all. I’ve needed hot water ONE time this year. And that’s over 2-4 jobs a day since April.
I’ve officially written off the idea of ever needing hot water enough to buy one.
I dont have hot water either. But if i was looking to get it, i would buy a new hot box before buying that used machine
I’ve only needed it twice and I rented one. I don’t like the idea of renting anything. It’s money down the drain. I also can’t justify spending too much on a new one for lack of use. I need a bigger gpm machine badly but it’s been a slow week for me relatively speaking. Slow week is pretty scary. So I’m throwing a bunch into eddm and dealing with my 5gpm. I’m really regretting not listening to everyone telling me to go straight to the 8gpm. Eh, it’s life. Live and learn
I wouldn’t be spending any money on a hot water unit then. Just save up for the 8gpm

Not if someone else is paying for it.
-
I bet it takes you an entire season to recoup the cost of a new hotbox. That’s money down the drain.
-
Most commercial jobs like gas stations and restaurants will earn you about the same as a cold water house wash just in 2x the amount of time. More money AND time down the drain.
-
Maintenance cost for your own hotbox especially a used one will make you wish you were renting.
Just my 4 cents.
Probably also money down the drain.
I seen this on Facebook. I’ve been thinking about how to handle the slower months. Its crossed my mind about pursuing reoccurring flat work, and would need the hot water for gas stations or restaurants. I think I’ll pass on this, and just get a matching gpm hotbox when the time comes.
It’s been my best generator. It’s really a combination of everything but I’ve only had one route selection not generate profit from eddm. Currently I’m doing eddm, Facebook, Craigslist, clipper magazine, local news paper, 5 touch strategy I’ve got from you, Adsense. I’m pretty sure I have a local guy going around and undercutting me, but that’s just coming with the territory.
What’s your real ROI from EDDM? Margin?
If your five arounds aren’t generating more revenue than EDDM send me your door hanger. We need to change it.
Cumulatively I’m not tracking it. Each neighborhood is different. One job on any route selection will cover my cost and generate a little profit. I’ve got as little as no jobs, and as much as 20. I’m looking at it as a necessary evil until I get established. I’m also doing some golf course score card ads. It hasn’t came out yet. The company “benchmark” has horrible ratings but I’m trying them anyway. As long as my name is on the card I’ll be happy. I just don’t see the room for error. My ad, there card. If its not there I’ll file a claim with the credit card and contact bbb and write a bunch of reviews. Worse case scenario I lose $500
I haven’t been doing it long enough to accurately assess it. I’ll let you know in a few weeks. It looks very similar to yours lol. I didn’t copy and paste it but I used the same format and colors as I seen on yours.
Thank you for always listening to my long dissertations & setting me straight lol
I guess I am just afraid of coming to a job & not being able to do it properly without hot water.
Of course, finding out after the I already took it & did some of the work. Beforehand I would go with the rental route
Nooooo… @Harold lol I’m trying to help you! Google sendjim. It’s like $99 a month and they’re targeted to areas you’ve already worked or will be working in. Check it out. I’m not using sendjim yet because I can’t handle the demand at the moment. We’re at capacity. But it’s the very next thing on the list.
Also, visit some BNI groups. I visited 6 BNI groups over the last two years and found the one I wanted to join. $700 and I got enough referrals on day one to make another $700 in profit.
Thanks, I’ll check it out. I visited one BNI. I wasn’t too impressed. I’ll have to check out more. Is there a central location or directory of them? The one I went to contacted me.
If they contact you, it means they need members. The one I am in has 32 people. When I went to here had over 50 people and you had to talk on a microphone. What’s your ZIP Code?
