If you got some building talent. Check out envirospec’s build your own or get one of there prebuilts. Go with a steel frame though.
So this confuses me. Because everything I’ve been reading seems to say that 2500 psi with enough gpm is good for residential concrete work. And that too much psi can do damage to the concrete. But I’ve been reading a lot on here the past month so maybe everything is blurring together.
Definitely get the higher PSI. You’ll have pressure loss from the reel and hose and you’ll want to be around 2500psi for cleaning residential concrete. The machine you linked will likely put you around 1900psi after the friction loss which will really limit how fast you can clean.
OR
You pretreat and post treat with a significantly stronger mix. That’s more chemical and higher risk of killing foliage.
Also get a pump up sprayer for when down streaming isn’t a strong enough solution and you need something a little hotter. A cheap option until you get a12v pump setup.
2500 will work. But if you get a parking lot or a drive thru one day ,your out. So 3500 psi is the most versatile in both fields. Plus you lose 1psi or more per foot.
Anyone got that psi loss chart @Racer had handy ?
I’m sure. But he ain’t buying the jag. He wants a honda civic @Kps0410
Where do you hang your hat @qons ?
I’m at 2200-2400 with four 2.5 nozzles
At the gun ? @Kps0410
Yes between the ball valve and the gun
8gpm ? @Kps0410
I wouldn’t go higher than 2500psi on any concrete. That being said, I still wouldn’t buy a machine that’s less than 3000psi due to the length of hose being used etc.
I’m not saying to wash it @3500 psi. But if he’s gonna go with only a 5.5 @ 2500 running 200 ft what’s that gonna be ,like 2100 psi @ 5.5. Now if hes at a 5.5 @3500 then he will loose around 400 psi then nozzle it to get around 25,2600 psi .right? @anon37135677. Need more psi for a tuff turbo nozzle job then just get the 5.5 turbo nozzle.
Correctamundo. I figure he’ll be doing well to get 1900-2000psi. Most machines don’t put out exactly what they’re rated for.
I’m right outside of St. Louis, Missouri. One county over.
A Landa does. But that’s what I’m trying to say. It’s a Jag. He can only afford a honda right now. Nothing wrong with that. I have 2 Toyotas and 1 Ford. Lol
Exactly
