You 100% want a buffer tank. You’ll thank us all later. What happens if the customer comes out and tries to talk? Are you going to sit there and spray the gun every 30 seconds while talking? What about going to the truck for a pump up of oxalic? I hope you’re a fast sprinter! What if the neighbor comes over wanting to ask about an estimate?

It’s so much easier setting the gun on the ground. You could go take an hour nap and let that thing run without having to worry about it overheating.

Fair enough. Fair enough.

So I need a 65 gallon tank, a 5.5 gpm pressure washer, more hose, a surface cleaner, a j-rod, elemonator, and an injector unit.

PressureTek for the j-rod, elemonator, and injector unit? What about the other items?

Tractor supply or Menards is better for your tank @qons . Familiarize yourself with pressuretek and others to obtain all the rest. Get a GP high draw injector ,don’t fall for the other ones.

Downstream injector*

Keep in mind, 65gal would be my minimum recommendation. If you have the space for it then I’d go with a 125gal. Also, you should never really be hauling water around between jobs. Keep 20 gallons or so in there so that you don’t have to re-prime the system. If you go 125 then keep 40 or so gallons.

Tractor Supply price matches on tanks. Print this out and take it in with you.

Al the trucks have two eights. Three trucks have 125 gallon tanks and one has a 65 gallon tank. We stay connected to hydrants via garden hose.

Ah, gotcha! Do you have any pics of one of your rigs? I’ve got my heart set on getting away from trailers so I’m thinking I could go a couple different routes. One like yours with a ladder rack and somewhere to hang surface cleaners or something like @SchertzServicesLLC’s Beast truck that recently broke down. His setup would be more ideal since I would have the footprint for a larger tank but I imagine there are ways to make your setup work too.

Get 3 or 4 injectors. You will thank me later.

@sgb To be clear, you mean get several of these?

You don’t need the whole kit. Buy one kit and then buy 3 or 4 replacement injectors (the small brass part with the hose barb). Then just swap them out as they go bad. Some have terrible luck with injectors. I have great luck with them. In fact, the original that came with my machine still pulls soap. I rinse my injector after every job. Takes 5 minutes.

Yes yes. What he said. The injector is this thing. That’s what you need multiple of. Think about it for a second. You make money introducing bleach into your water. The only way to get that bleach in your water is the injector. If that thing messes up and I promise you it will and you don’t have a spare or three you will be very upset. Not being able to finish a job for a $15 part would not be fun.

Edit: I don’t know how to use commas.

it doesn’t take a lot of the right kind of jobs to pay for itself. With the proper equipment you can do two jobs in the same time it takes to do one job with substandard equipment.

Wow. You make great use of available space. Thanks for the pictures. That gives me some great insight.

Wonder if he changed to red markers to Write his oil change hrs on his black machine now.

So I made a list of everything I need and where I’ll get it from. Three things I could use input on:

It seems like this surface cleaner is highly recommended to go with:

I’m not sure on the pressure washer itself. I saw a few recommend this one:

And then I’ll need some help going from my water tank to the pressure washer. That one I’m unsure of completely. I don’t even know what to research or type into a search bar.

And get a couple extra of each type of QC fitting. Get stainless obvi. They will all need replaced at some point.

Nope. Get atleast a 5.5 with a 18 vanguard or gx690. You’re gonna want the 3500 psi for flat work. Your getting there though.
