Understanding surface cleaners

I get the stink eye when mentioning this but I have to wonder what mixed sizes would do on my 4 nozzle.

Definitely get some weight savings on the bar. that thing would fly. Similar to when we went to CF drive shafts on our race cars. My luck though I’d hit the corner of a curb or something the first day and shatter the sucker, lol

Only cost you about $25 to fine out. Try it and see. On my Mondo, went to 4002s and it seemed to help

Like 4002s for two of them and 2502s for the others? So keep the pressure the same but make a wider angle on two of the four?

Something like that, or even experiment with less pressure on the outside.

If you use two pairs of nozzles with different orifice size, all 4 nozzles should still have the same pressure at each nozzle, although the larger orifice should flow higher gpm.

Spoke with Pressure tek and I’m going with the 25030’s. I currently have a BE 16inch SC and I’ve been pretty satisfied with it. Would going to a whisper wash help with any of this? Just curious if I’d get the same results using the same tip sizes.

I have a 4 gpm 4000 psi general pump and a 19” whisper wash classic. I run 2 2502 tips and have zero striping problems and it clean real even though I move a real even slow lol.

I bought a 4 tip bar with 4 2502 nozzles and I couldn’t clean with it. Just too little flow. I’m saving the bar for when I get my 8 gpm which matches perfectly.

I’m not sure why you have problems. But I say it’s either the age of concrete you’re cleaning, bad pour, or the tips.

I have 2503 nozzles for new concrete. Provides me with the right pressure with the length of hose I have to not hurt the cream. I’ve learned here and taken the wiser advice to change the tips instead of adjusting the unloader to change the SC pressure.

Best of luck . Hope the tips work

Yes, I hope so too! I don’t always have this problem with my SC but it pops up every now and again.

@qons, @MuscleMyHustle, @Racer. @marinegrunt

I ended up changing my tips to 2503’s and it’s worked perfectly now. Followed up by a 3-4% post treatment

Thanks for the help guys!

Glad to hear!

Good stuff

No, that means you were just going to quickly before.

What machine do you run with your 4gpm ? And 2503 work best for it ?

20" classic. I don’t remember, been a couple of years since I’ve used it with a 4. That sounds about right with 2 nozzle bar

i run an 18 inch general on mine. A 20 may be too big but everyone else seems to think the 16 whisper wash is the perfect match. The bigger the diameter the slower you will need to go.

Okay thank you I was debating on getting the 16” whisper wash but seen a few of the guys on here complaining about them leaving to many lines I understand the go perpendicular to line of sight and a heavy post treat could have been part of the issue but haven’t seen much complaint guys using 20”

Are you serious…everyone recommended to me to get 16 ’ whisper which I just bought last night. Purchased the nice SC to avoid lines and stuff. Please tell me that the 16 WW doesn’t cause lines

I think you are fine. I have an 8 gpm and a WW, I don’t leave lines unless I am going way too fast. It practically flies off the ground, just have to pay attention to the nozzles as they can clog and also wear.
