Under bed tanks

In addition to mounting a reel or two under the truck body, we’d like to add some under bed chemical tanks to our box truck to clear up some floor space inside. I’ve seen some tanks like this:

I’d like something in the 30-50 gallon range. The issue is an easy way to top them off. A side filler, like a fuel tank, would seem to be the easiest. Anybody try it, or have pics if you did? Our box truck sets fairly high.

I know he’s fallen out of favor in the last year or two, but Kevin Enderle had some great diagrams of how to externally vent and fill you chemical tanks. It’s worth digging up, if possible.

The general concept was using banjo camlocks, and a check valve on the fill port. I believe he recommended PVC plumbing to and from the tank.

The external venting will save your truck from rusting out from the bleach fumes.

Check out some rv fresh tanks or black tanks. All fresh tanks will usually have a vent hole of smaller diameter black tanks may be larger. I dont see any reason you couldn’t hook one up exactly like an rv with a dedicated outside fill port
