2 people brushing a trailer in 10-12 minutes? Can you post a video or send a link? That’s awfully hard to believe.

Never taken a video of my work. We just spray on our #2 soap and give it a quick brush. I don’t say how it could take you much longer.

He’s right about his time. I do the same if I even have to brush.

Envirospec had a winter special on a dry keg of all there soaps. Bought a 55 gallon drum kit. Called chisel for $145 and free shipping. Pretty impressive.

I spoke with Gabe the other day he covers my region. Great Company!! I have never cleaned big rigs with the two step process. Have had a couple of companies reach out to me about cleaning there rigs. Going to order enough cleaner to learn the process and go clean one for both companies. If it works out will have the contracts . If I get them I plan on setting up a trailer for it with two guys doing it. Then just got to do the math and see if it’s worth it?? The process seems easy enough and I have the equipment to try it so why not.

Just make sure @Coolunderpressure, your soaps and acids match you task. I run 3 different kinds of acids and 4 different soaps. You wash a highly polished rig with HF ,PH or an aggressive soap like DYNA clean and Brite or film fighter . You’ll be learning machine polishing as well …

Thanks for the heads up. Will not be using HF or any of my employees. Not taking that risk. Just getting my feet wet and learning the process. But from what little I’ve been told there are safe ways to do it without HF. Taking pics next week of the rigs to show the company to get the right chemicals for the job. Also will get with a seasoned vet and pay them to show me if it looks to be profitable. Last thing I want to do is a poor job!!

I will be using an HF and a very caustic #2 on these

They haul trash from a local dump here to a land fill.

Guy asked me how much and I told him I usually do day cabs for $35-$45 depending on frequency and filthiness and '53 footers for $45. Told him I will be higher than those prices though due to the condition and lack of water supply at the moment. It is 14 tractors and 25 trailers, I was going to try to get $60 a piece with no water and once they get the water turned on go for $50 a piece. May just quote him a flat rate for the 39 pieces at $2000 every other week.

How long will that truck in the picture take you to clean?

If you got the coin, buy a 8gpm cold water machine with a turbo nozzle ,helper gets all the heavy stuff off the under carriage, then helper switches to a 40 degree tip and can 2 step the trailer, while your doing the truck @GeorgeNicholson

Cuz them truck n trailers are nasty looking! Lol. Are you washing the motors as well ?

Nope, just getting the crap off it. Gonna go with a HF and a very high pH soap (caustic) for the second step and then rinse. Just waiting for the guy to give the go ahead to start washing

How many gpm your big Landa pushing?@GeorgeNicholson

5 gpm

Thanks for all your knowledge. What’s the difference between upstream and downstream. I am new to fleet washing.

Upstreaming is applying soap at high pressure , Downstreaming is applying soap @ low pressure.

Upstreaming means you’re running soap or chemicals thru your pump. Downstreaming you’re introducing them after the pump. Most of us downstream, easier on the the pump than having lots of chemicals go thru it. Either can be high or low pressure. Upstreaming you can shoot chems at any pressure. Downstreaming can only pull chem at low pressure unless using some external tool like an xjet. Seems like most the cool kids that truck wash upstream most the time.

Have you tried Envirospec’s f9? I got some and used it for house wash with the detonator. Worked ok but never tried it for its intended purpose of truck washing. If you have did you think it was good?
