Tsp and Chlorine mix

So I’ve been doing some research and have noticed that a lot of people are using Tpc and Chlorine mix for there Shingle cleaning… I have 3 separate 35 gallon water tanks to use for what ever I want to mix… What would be a strong Ratio mix if using Tsp and Chlorine in one of the tanks? Also is there anything else there mixing with the two?

Where did you read that?

Are those guys also adding IPA?

Do more research on TSP before adding it to any mix

I found the info just browsing the internet… Truth be told i would rather stay away from Chlorine all together and have an Eco friendly cleaner to use instead… Seems there is false advertisement with some companies saying Eco friendly but yet they water down plants, shrubs, etc! I would like to do the same work and have the same quick results without the prep work and possible damage. If there is another safe way and less time consuming way please share… Chlorine alone is harsh. Any info would be great. I have seen no one here doing shingle cleaning In south Houston… Thanks man!

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Quicker, easier, simpler, without prep work or risk of possible damage. The answer is no, it’s not going to happen.

Water alone is harsh as well. Have you ever snorted it up your nose? That stuff will kill you. Chlorine, as used in this application, is water, with salt added, electrically charged. Use it properly and no harm will come.

You got sold just by reading something. Unfortunately what you’ve read isn’t true, and if you decide to do roofs you’re going to have to battle information like that on a regular basis.

The nuns told us that the Lord would strike down on us for touching ourselves or having impure thoughts. I should be dead 15000 times over.

Same thing happened to me! Fortunately, I listened to these guys in here and saved myself a lot of hassle and trouble…I highly recommend you listen to these guys, even if you’re feeling a bit delayed right now.

There are threads on here discussing what happens (or DOESN’T happen) when you use the methods you mentioned above. The folks on this forum know what they’re talking about, and they will gladly help you, if you let them.

I am about to do my first roof in a couple of weeks, but I feel 100% confident knowing that I’m using methods that are “tried and true” instead of being sold on something that won’t work and that WILL do a horrible job.

Just my $0.02…All the best!!!

BTW: This baby just arrived today! Thanks PressureTek!!!..and Tim4 and GuyB and Thad, and JohnT and Danwagner and…need I say more??? Listen and learn!

I wouldn’t add any TSP personally…

Thanks all… I really do like the input… So what is the solution for black Streaks and mold… Im gonna start with my own house for testing… I will stay away from the Tsp for sure… So what should i experiment with. My roof is not to bad except on the north side so I def have room to test… I really appreciate the help and info!

Search “roof cleaning mix” in the forum. You probably won’t like what you see, but there’s only one way to clean asphalt shingles.

The forums and social media pages are absolutely vital to a strong business in this industry. In my humble opinion anyway.

Absolutely!
