Anybody have any idea on what would cause the pressure to stay at 1900psi…no matter if I’m on or off the trigger? Already checked belts, filters & o rings. I can’t find anything. Its not going into bypass; I’m assuming because the pressure is too low to actuate the unloader.
Have you replaced the unloader yet? Sounds like a bad one to me.

Check your unloader first cause it’s cheaper. Even if it’s @ 1900 psi it should still go into bypass.
Will do. Thanks
I don’t get it. Not going int bypass? Where is the water going then? The pump always puts out water, it has to go somewhere.
It comes out of the hose when on the trigger. When off the trigger the pressure doesn’t change. Or better said, it doesn’t drop to zero as it normally does. Just hovers at 1900. Unless it’s bypassing water the entire time. I couldn’t tell because there is 500+ gallons and the bypass is at the bottom of the tank. Guess I’ll dump the water and see if I see any water flowing back to the tank.
What type of unloader do you have? If it’s a pressure trap Unloader then when you release the trigger the pressure stays in the gun even when the unloader goes into bypass hence the term pressure trap. If it’s a flow type unloader like the K7 then when you release the trigger the pressure comes out(I never liked the K7).
Assuming you have a spring pressure type unloader try tightening down the spring and see if the pressure increases. If it does then tighten it down to the point you get to the pressure specs of the pump.
Pressure trap type. I thought you would be able to see some water flow bypassing back to the tank. I tried tightening the spring. No effect… I just had it adjusted 3 weeks ago at the shop, too.
You can always disconnect the bypass hose from the unloader and then run the machine and see how much water comes out of the bypass port. We had 2 unloaders go bad so far this year and it was because they wouldn’t go into bypass. I since hooked up both machines with new unloaders and both bypass ports on each have hoses running to the tank(better safe then sorry).
As for your pump not increasing in pressure when you tighten down the spring on the unloader then your seals are probably going on the pump. I’d still buy an extra unloader(good to have) and try that first.
By the way… Anyone know the brass valve cap socket size on the TS2021. Am i right that it’s a 29mm or is it another size? Can’t find the size anywhere online…
