Hi there, I was thinking about possible instances where there might be a dispute arising from services performed, controversial damage, quality or similar. Is there a set of terms and conditions that you ask the customer to agree before you undertake services for them? I was thinking about a link to the terms of business that each customer can digitally agree. Is there a standard template for this? Is this step necessary? Worthwhile? Best practice?
PLMK your thoughts. With thanks, John
We have terms & condition’s, when they accept the estimate they are agreeing on them. You will need to tailor that to your liking and liability you want or not want.

Is there anything that they sign? Or is it just a verbal/non-verbal “agreement” when they supposedly said “Ok, go ahead and do the work”? I ask it that way, because misunderstandings and disagreements are 1 thing, but when people start getting intentionally dishonest, ya never know how low they are willing to go.
So, I’ve been wondering myself: Do you (or anyone else) have the customer sign anything before starting work?
They push an ACCEPT button on the emailed estimate……it says when accepting this agreement/estimate, you accept the terms & agreements for this job or anytime we’re working on the their property in the future.

That’s what I was getting at. If push came to shove is there any record that there is really any agreement at all…or is it all just he said/she said. Answer is: Yes.
Do you use a CRM?
Thanks. I’ve heard that everywhere I’ve turned. They are on the top of my list for a CRM. If you don’t mind, how steep is the learning curve?
Most CRM’s have a learning curve, like getting a brand new phone that you’re not used to. Just takes a little time to get familiar with the features. Not hard……just spend some time on it, then it will save you time as you go…very important to have a CRM though. Much success!
