I got my first fleet account the other day,its nice getting the proverbial monkey off your back,now I just wish my other bids would start coming through,does it get any easier waiting on contracts to come to life or is it just me?

Greg,
That is great to hear, I’ve been around contracting 10years and personally doing contracting for three. There are so many variations when your doing bids my experience in the last three years the economy has had a huge rule in the percentage of contracts that we close I.e: (Time of year, world events, weather, financing).

My 2cents is just double check your estimate and don’t drop your prices because your not getting closed contracts. Maybe even raise the price because one thing I have seen is bids that I’ve put out say one or two years ago are now wanting the project done three years later at the three year old price just so sit back be confident and stick to your guns.

thanks jordon ,sometimes people dont realize how difficult it is to get a business going,runnign a business is not for the faint of heart they just would not make it.

Hang in there Greg, sometimes it takes a while for fleet washing bids to close. Good side is once you get the work is a great repetitive service.
