Do you have a heat vent deflector from rain @Firefighter4hire ? I got a 8" 90 degree stove pipe for my Hotsy to deflect rain etc, buts it’s a vertical coil. I saw 4 holes at the vent on the PP. I was just curious. How about you @dperez ,What you say?
I keep mine under carport now I made that mistake earlier this year and it got wet steam came out of that thing for a day or two then it seemed to be fine so I just took a piece of coil stock cut it and I place it over the vent cost me nothing. On my vertical coil I got the cover from mitm.
I rednecked my Hotsy, got luck with 8" stove pipe, searching for 8" exaust pipe, but dang its expensive, tried to walk out with this at the chrome shop mafia in Joplin Missouri, Wife said put in back. Lol
Damit I know where they have a bunch of those laying in a yard. My buddy works on trucks I will look in the pile this weekend that’s a good idea
@Hotshot if he has a couple I will cut off the top and send it to you just tell me how tall you want it
It gets wet and dries hundreds of times then gets stiff and the blanket gets beat around on mobile applications so it then breaks and moves/shifts around. The coil has to come out of the wrap to reblanket it. I can tell you where to get the ceramic the cheapest.
So it bee like dat lol, All secret like.
I would greatly appreciate that information.
If I were a betting man I’d say @dperez’s shopping mall.
EBAY.
I never have any luck with ebay. Maybe I just dont know the tricks. I gotta get a stupid Facebook page just so I can look at market place
Also a fantastic idea
I told some dudes about a cheap part and a few of them stocked up on them then the merchant drastically changed the price on them. Supply and demand and all. I’ll pm you guys the link to the kaowool
Fb marketplace has tons of stuff. Just about anything you can imagine. It’s worth getting an account just for access to that.
Careful, though, it can suck up your time.
@Hotshot you have the hookup for an 8" chrome exhaust stack off a truck that is curved on the top? I am thinking the exhaust for my burner is needing that coming out the top of my enclosed instead. I can get new online but that is like $450 or more, not doing that
@SurfaceTherapy you might be better of to look for food truck style vent for you enclosed trailer. Junk yard is a good place to start
I dont want it. But Jamie is tired of me using hers.
Ha!! Small world, my wife Scarlett is tired of me having her look stuff up.
Yes yours is nice and cheap , mine was $15 and I can go down the road and not have to worry about rain getting in and skipping rocks and sand in from my tires.
@Hotshot @Firefighter4hire Aren’t we the biggest losers! Same deal over here with the misses. I actually just don’t want all the old flames looking me up. I don’t know you all’s excuse for not having it lol
