Truck washing (Soaps, Tips and Tricks)

So you did you plumb this in with your rinse water?

I have a 100’ reel to fill up my 525 gallon tank. I put the softner between my water source (house/business spigot) and my tank. If I am only using it for my soaps, just between spigot and 55 gallon drum and then fill up drum to make soap according to directions

My down stream injector has a dial that is also adjustable. I am gonna use the proportioners. (Thanks Hotshot)… you gave me a great idea!!
I know my injector is adjustable if i eant it to pull more or less chemical.

Should i switch it to an DI that is nit adjustable and use the proportioners.

Ok, thanks George!!

Ditch the adjustable DS injector ,you’ll never get your ratios consistent, It moves from vibration. plus if you get a helper, they will fiddle with it as well.Get the $15 GP high draw injector .Those proportioner tips are idiot proof.

@Hotshot Is that supposed to come with proportioners?

No, you buy them separately. I use them on the ends of chem lines to get my exact ratio mix. Then unscrew them off the brass when needed for a different job or task. Usually less dirt means less soap and acid , so I just down size my proportioners accordingly with
These lil guys that go into your mix

The brown part is actually brass and has a 1/4 " nipple barb that goes in snug to the poly line, then the proportioners screw into that ,then an optional strainer basket screws over the hole thing via those outer MPT threads.

I tried to post the picture of how I have my proportioners in my line but the website won’t allow me to post a picture from my phone anymore

This website?

This website. When I try to select a photo it won’t allow me to do so. I have to do it from my computer

What the Hell … That’s weird

Cool… thanks fellas…

Ok. Gotcha. Because mine didn’t come with any! So just makin’ sure!

So my GP High Draw is 1:7 on my 4k / 4gpm. So I can buy proportioners and dilute it to an even higher ratio like 12:1? Does Pressure Tek sell them?

Search X-Jet proprtioner on PressureTek.com

I’ve got the xjet proportioners. I didn’t realize you could use them in such a fashion!
I keep learning!

You’ll get the highest draw rate out of your injector without the use of any proportioners because there is no restriction in the hose. The proportioners will lower your rate. Same goes for an x-jet. The highest draw rate will be achieved without using them.

Ok, I should’ve said “lower” ratio. So if my draw rate without proportioners is 7:1, I could make it 15:1 or whatever with proportioners, right?

Right.
I’m assuming it would save you from batch mixing, I use mine to up my ratios, Because we draw 100 % concentrate. So if I wanna draw at 15:1 for example then no proportioners at all , if I want 30:1, then I know what color to screw in etc,etc
